October 12, 2012 - National day.
Letizia in a tweed skirt suit with an undertow from lace.

I personally think this is a nice suit but it doesn't flatter Letizia. It makes her look bigger than what she is. I can also this suit on Queen Sofia. Moreover, the tweed suit matched with the undertow doesn't quite work for me.

It's great to see Letizia wear something a little different. The colours of this suit suit her, she looks very natural and has simple elegance. The model of jacket looks good on her and the blouse is absolutely beautiful. Also the bag and shoes are nice.

I like the skirt, and also the lace top, but not together.
I don´t like the jacket. It looks too big on Letizia and I just hate the white border line. Overall the suit would have look fine on an older lady, but not on a 40-years-old-looking-like-30. Leti, dear, it seems hard for you finding the right "according to your age" way of dressing
On the positive note, her face looked amazing when I saw it on TV this morning. She was glowing, great make-up and hairstyle, and those earrings are one of the best pair she owns, for sure. Never get tired of seeing them

I had to double check the pictures to make sure we were looking at the same ones:) I love the suit and think it looks amazing on Letizia. Not seeing where it's too big or makes her look bigger than she is. As far as dressing for her age, this is it. She looks very elegant here and not like she's with her dad as she has at times in past.

I like the look too. Besides, its 100% better than previous years, eg the year she showed up in pants.

I like the look. The lace top looks really nice

I like the tweed suit on Letizia - it is very elegant and smart for National Day. She looks every bit the Queen-in-waiting

I really like the lace top.

Letizia looks amazing! I love the suit and the accessories are perfect. She actually exudes great confidence with elegance and also gentleness. Great photos :flowers:

Ah, finally, this is what she should be wearing! Lovely colors, great pattern and texture flatter her figure. I can't think of a thing I would change except add more pearls.

Boring. I don't care for this look at all. But at least it's a skirt and not the usual pants.

Count me among those who like this outfit. It's professionnal and classy.
The colour looks good on her.
I disagree with those who think that's it ages her.Letizia is already 40 years old,it was time from her to get rid of some fashion choices which were sometimes more suitable for a girl in her twenties.
The length of her skirt is as it should be,not too short not too long.
I noticed that her fashion choices became more professional around the time she was criticised for dressing too casual for a military event.

Fantastic tweed suit! I love the lace top with it.

like the suit too except for the white ribbon too, if it is a chanel it lacks that thready detail thay give their jackets, it was shown on a documentary about the house of chanel.

The suit is from Felipe Varela, you can see the clothes made by the same fabric from his website. By Varela's standard, it's a pretty nice suit, many clothes on his website are ugly. But I like the tweed suit from last year better. Letizia has never worn any Chanel, if she did like her SIL with Oscar de la Renta, Chanel or Dior constantly, she probably would have been called the new Marie Antoinette.

quite right, Spain is suffering at the moment, did not think about that.

Dresses and suits are ugly in my opinion, but will do for people, who buy them. Certain pieces from Chanel or Dior can be an investment that can be recycled many times in different ensembles. Felipe Varela's designs are akin disposable plastic plates and forks.

She should wear more Adolfo Dominguez...it has such lovely clothes...Felipe Varela is awful and antique----

I rather like the pant suit.
If it were worn with a bland blouse, it would have been rather boring.
However, combined with the bright orange blouse, it looks quite nice and elegant.

I like the pant suit and the orange blouse brightens it up.

For me this suit (love the colour & material) & orange blouse are one of the best combos she owns. The shoes are abit chunky.

Princess Letizia of Spain attends the inauguration of "Casa del Lector" on October 17, 2012 in Madrid, Spain.

A recycled Ailanto dress

Back to the little girlie look, I hate the shooties & cardigan, this outfit is a total miss for me.

I actually like the dress and don't see anything girlish about it. I only wish it was a little longer, but together with black tights it's ok. I really don't like the shoes however.

The print on the dress is too much. It certainly stands out amidst all the black, but really, it kinda hurts my eyes.
