I'm reasonably sure TPTB (including Letizia and Felipe) know all of this and are not waiting for Sofia to embarrass herself internet wide, though. If she goes out like she does and has, presumably there are some sort of safeguards in place.

:previous: She does indeed. She looks every inch the 16-year-old CP she is. I think the visit to the formal celebration of CP IA's birthday made an impression on Felipe and Letizia. Comparatively, their children have traditionally been sheltered and dressed very young long after they should have started to express themselves through their sartorial preferences. I noted that they even had a light dusting of makeup.

The appearance of Infanta Leonor in what can only be called a classic style from her gorgeous updo to her nude high-heeled slingback shoes and whose jewels were age-appropriate. It really impressed me and a lot of other members of this forum I am sure, just as the independent style of Infanta Sofia did. She has a more edgy personal style from her hair to her very trendy shoes.

However, the most astonishing thing I find is that the two Princesses look so very grown-up even compared to the photos at the end of the week before! I am so used to seeing them dressed almost interchangeably with their hair straight as a dye and looking far less than their actual ages. I am now looking forward to lots more "style" from Spain.

I think you meant Sofia, who is 15 years old and not the CP herself.


BTW, Leonor is no longer an Infanta, but Princess of Asturias since she is the heir, albeit presumptive.
 
:previous: No, there was an unfortunate delay in posting the finished post, the previous symbol was for the post by prinsara. I have noticed that Lenor is not CP but rather Princess of Asturias who is still only 16 and Sofia, 15, is an Infanta.

My opinion of their sartorial taste remains.
 
I yearn for a day when royal girls and women are not compared and contrasted to other royal girls and women as a way of lifting favorites up, and bashing less-favored families.

It really shouldn't matter if an older princess in another country chooses to dress a different way.
 
:previous: There are always going to be comparisons drawn between the royals of any age when it comes to fashion. Elisabeth's Birthday Ball introduced us to the newest branches of European royalty and clued us in to the types of styles they like to wear. This is the most fun time for them as they each muddle through to nail their own individual style. I am really looking forward to seeing more of all of them in public, both casual and formal.

Amazingly, they are all young and attractive, even Estelle's glasses make a statement about who she is.

Agreed. Both dresses are beautiful, but my favorite is the pale blue dress.

Savannah looks so grown up in her dress with the beautiful up do.

I didnt like the flower girls' dresses that much. Especially the open back - which clearly created problems for Lena - didn't seem a good idea and while it worked for Isla, imho it didn't work that well for Mia.

Poor Oscar. They already get him into double plated jackets (mimicking his father) and his trousers are way too long - I assume they expect him to wear these next year as well...

The both look lovely and it was a very warm evening in London too.
 
Leonor looks really grown up to me. The black/hot pink combination looks really good on her.
 
They are both so sweet. They seem to have turned into young ladies overnight!?
