He makes a convincing argument that the girls were not stupid at all, despite the opinions of many (not even Louise, of whom I don't believe I've ever heard anything positive said).
George, otoh, he points out as being resolutely monoglot (not even Danish) and so making his fluently trilingual father "look like a scholar". (He does say George was a very good practical learner.) And we all know he was the bright one compared to Eddy...
