Program of the Visit to Vietnam

Monday, March 28th - Hanoi



  • Welcome Meeting with focus on 'Doing Business in Vietnam, the business delegation and guest speakers present. Dr Bleker, State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, will give a speak.
  • Reception and lunch with the host of the visit, Mr Khiem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
    The host and the Prince will speak.
  • Visits to high authorities.
  • Visit to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Cao Duc Phat.
  • Networking Dinner with the business delegation, Vietnamese counterparts and authorities.
    The Prince will give a speech.
Tuesday, March 29th - Hanoi

  • Seminar Port of Rotterdam, where the Port of Rotterdam will present their business model to Vietnamese authorities.
  • Dr Blekr has a meeting with the Minister of Planning and Investment and the Minister of Trade.
  • The Prince of Orange and Mr Atsma, State Secretary for Infrastructure and Environment, are present at the Vietnam / Netherlands Inter-Governmental Committee on the Strategic Partnership Arrangement on Climate Change Adaptation and Water Management.
  • Visit to the Temple of Literature, formerly the oldest university in Vietnam and now one of the most important historical buildings in Hanoi.
    A meeting with Vietnamese students who have studied in the Netherlands and with Dutch people living in Vietnam.
  • Princess Máxima and Dr Bleker attend a seminar on Financial Inclusion, which talks about access to financial services in Vietnam. The Princess will give a speech.
  • Flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
    Welcoming ceremony at the airport.
Wednesday, March 30th - Ho Chi Minh City

  • Visit to the People's Committee (Administration) of Ho Chi Minh City, where cooperation agreements between the municipalities of Rotterdam and Ho Chi Minh City and the CBI (Centre for Promotion of Imports from developing countries) and VEXA (Vietnamese Exporters Association) will be signed.
  • The Prince of Orange and Mr Atsma visit organizations involved in infrastructure and water transport. The program includes a visit to Bitexco Tower (city views), the university STC (training in navigation / maritime), Saigon New Port (new transhipment port) and a boat trip along the Dong Nai river.
  • Princess Máxima and Dr Bleker visit successful Dutch companies in Vietnam: FrieslandCampina (Model Farm), De Heus Feed (fodder production) and Nedspice (processing spices).
  • Networking Reception for the Dutch business delegation and host community.
Thursday, March 31st - Ho Chi Minh City

  • The Prince of Orange and Mr Atsma attend a presentation at the digital drawing board for the Mekong Delta Plan.
  • Princess Máxima and Dr Bleker attend the seminar "Livestock and food safety".
  • Lunch at Unilever Vietnam with business leaders regarding corporate social responsibility in Vietnam.

Btw,Bleker doesn't know much on how to dress.Wrong grey and ,what's that?Grey shoes?Apparently no-one told him you wear black shoes at such events.What a poldermodel....

A rare fashion remark,the Princess wears the same outfit she had for the White House visit.:)

The couple will also visit succesfull Dutch enterprises and attend a
reception for the dutch corporate world and the Dutch community.

I like the dress and accessories , its really lovely and suits to Princess Maxima very good :))
 
I think this is a reallyinteersting tour, almost entirely focussed on Dutch trade.
 
The outfit is the nicest of the visit thus far IMO. The white jacket was worn on Prinsjesdag I see on your blog? It looks good on her.

Why is Henk Bleker (secretary of Agriculture) escorting the couple btw? The minister of Foreign Affais was too busy? And so was the minister of Economic Affairs obviously? Is the visit focussed on Agriculture perhaps (as we saw this afternoon)? Of course Bleker isn't as unsufferable as the other two ministers (IMHO that is), so I am happy to see him. He did make some nice comments about the couple on RTL Boulevard yesterday:

Didnt pictures of the arrival. I believe the coat Máxima is wearing has also been worn before.
