In RTL Boulevard I saw him speaking to the Austrian or German press (ijn German anyway), he is very fluent in German. One of the things he said was that more children die from lack of water than from AIDS at the moment.

As posted by Joris on the Benelux Royals MB:

Today De Telegraaf publishes a long interview with Prince of Orange, mainly on watermanagement/sanitation problems.
He will sadly miss this work (which he says he could do full time) when he will become king...
Although he has become a specialist in the field he says he can't been regarded as a person in the same range as prominent people like Al Gore on the climate issue. He is a teamplayer per se and likes to co-operate with other specialists to achieve goals.

I forgot if this was discussed before, but does anybody know until when WA will be chairman of this board? Is there a fixed date settled on which he will leave or is it more 'open' like his membership of the IOC (which he will quit as soon as he is King).
And does anybody know why Princess Maxima accompanied her husband to NYC? Just as a support or has she some things to attend herself about Microfinance?

Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands (L), Chairman of the United Nations Secretary-General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation, shakes hands with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (R) during the launch of the International Year of Sanitation 21 November 2007 at UN headquarters in New York as Princess Maxima (2nd L) of the Netherlands looks on. The initiative aims to improve sanitation facilities worldwide (ANP)

No,there is no fixed date, suppose he will remain Chair untill he's called to the Throne.
Dear Máxima hadn't seen Alex for over a week,he travelled to NYC from Colombia remember? She supports him by being there, and meanwhile had a little catching up to do with her sister & friends in Chelsea, and ofcourse see staff and others of/on the UN board for micro-credit.
