I'm so excited!!
Does anyone know, will the baby's name be announced right away, or will we have to wait until the christening like with the Danish babies?

Bronovo is a strange name but it is no abbrevation or something.
The hospital is named after Lady Sara Katharina de Bronovo who founded the hospital in 1865.

Thanks dazzling and crm2317 for translation.
And sorry for false alarm, I'm in the same fever as everyone here - can't wait till the baby is finally here.

No, it's not like in Denmark! Amalia's and Alexia's names were announced about two days after they were born ...

During our waiting for the new baby, I just thought that you want know that Dutch princesses given birth to their children almost two per year (two princesses=two children):

- by Bernhard and Annette: Isabella 2002, Samuel 2004;
- by Pieter Christian and Anita: Emma 2006;
- by Floris and Aimee - baby ? 2007;
- by Willem-Alexander and Maxima: Amalia 2003, Alexia 2005, baby ? 2007;
- by Friso and Mabel: Luana 2005, Zaria 2006;
- by Constantijn and Laurentien: Eloise 2002, Claus-Casimir 2004, Leonore 2006.

Probably one or two days after the birth when Willem-Alexander registers the birth. This was the case with Amalia and Alexia but in the case of the children of Constantijn and Laurentien the name was announced with the birth.

Princess Maxima in hospital for birth
Tuesday 10 April 2007
Princess Maxima was admitted to the Bronovo hospital in The Hague on Tuesday afternoon to await the birth of her third child, the state information service RVD announced. Crown prince Willem-Alexander is with his wife at the hospital. Sources told ANP that Maxima's parents have also arrived from Argentina. read full article & source here

Its amazing that nobody ever knows the couple is in the hospital until the royal house announces it. Never pictures of cars leaving home or arriving. Unlike with Leonor, Ingrid Alexandra or Sverre Magnus where the cars were pictured.
When were the barricades placed outside the hospital?
