Princess Maxima is always immaculately dressed with a big smile!
I respect this woman!

Watching these last four photographs I suddenly found out that W-A has two uniforms: one with a tie and one without. I'm always so obsessed by what the women wear at the opening of the Parliament that I didn't even notice it yet. I'm sorry, W-A!

the one with the tie is the uniform of the navy (you can see two small anchors) and the closed one is the uniform of the air force (you can see two wings somewhere on the uniform).

Gee! I must have been asleep for several years now, because I always knew that he was in the air force and the navy but I never thought of it that he changed his uniforms! Thanks for pointing it out, Marengo! :) Now I have some new royal detail to watch on Prinsjesdag (and other occasions...)!

2005-air force
2006-navy
2007-air force
2008-navy, etc...

He is :
- Commandore in the Royal Netherlands Navy Reserve
- Brigade-General of the Royal Netherlands Army Reserve
- Commodore of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Reserve
Untill 2005:
2003: Army
2004: Navy
2005: Air Force
But he is Brigade-General of the Royal Marechaussee Reserve (Military Constabulary) since 2005, so I guess he will start to wear that uniform too.
So perhaps:
2006: Army
2007: Marechaussee
2008: Navy
2009: Air Force

What is the uniform of the army, I always though it was green? I thought I can just see small anchors/ planes on his collars.

Maxima is just stunning. Wonderful couple...beautiful children...she has to be, by far, the most elegant CP. Only my opinion, of course :-)

Not only your opinion, Roxsteve. I adore Crown Princess Maxima and her style. She is really stunning and the big part of her charm is certainly her smile.

Thanks Carlota, do you know where these pictures were taken? It seems to be argentina (as in this month nobody here would go outside in clothes like that).

I don't know exactly when they were taken, but it's a long time ago. I've seen this pictures before and it's quite a time ago, maybe even before their marriage, but I'm not sure of that, so it might as well be in Holland during the summer...

It was Italy, I think Porto Ercole. In 2002 or 2003?

What kind of respect is it to say that a healthy little girl has Downs Syndrome? Downs Syndrome is not something that comes and goes its a permanent thing, Amalia had when she was very little very strong Orange feautures and was a wee crosseyed but anyone that sees her now can not doubt that she is completely healthy little girl.
