A nice visit by the King on NYE.

I wonder if this is the start of a 2021 PR campaign to improve the image of the king and RF after a year in the Dutch doldrums.

Today, January 14, King Willem-Alexander paid a virtual working visit to 113 Suicide Prevention. Recent studies of 113 suicide prevention programmes and assistance and the impact of the corona pandemic were discussed:

About an hour ago the king received the PM at Palace Huis ten Bosch. The PM, who rode his bike from The Hague's city center to the palace, went to the king to resign. The cabinet decided to resign (but will continue with a 'demissionair' status until the elections in May) because of what is known as the 'benefits affair' (parents were treated as serious fraudsters after either they made a small mistake or their daycare center duped them). Only one minister - most directly involved in his role in the former coalition - resigned completely.
