It's natural that almost everybody want a boy beacuse they have 2 girls, but the chances of have a girl and a boy in each pregnancy are equal, and they have already 2 girls, so I think It willl be another girl, it runs in the family, and prince WA seems to make more girls than boys.
And another quote, pincess Maxima has that rounded belly that she had in her 2 last pregnancys, so it will be for sure that she is going to have another girl.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a boy, but let's not keep our hopes up....recent research suggests that smokers are more likely to have daughters..WA and Maxima, it's well documented, at least used to smoke like chimneys..

Though I knew they both smoke I never knew they were heavy smokers. Where did you get that information Olga?

It's well known the duo at least used to have the habit of smoking. It's well documented by the paparazzi over the years, both of them smoking during lunch on skiing trips, on vacation, you name it. THere was also the one leaked footage that Maxima and WA privately shot after Amalia's birth, where, at one point, when the camera's on Amalia, there is a clear sound of someone in the back ground using a cigarette lighter and later on smoke blowing into the room. Not to mention the evidence on WA's teeth on one of the first pictures of him, Maxima and Amaia as a family. Need I go on? Don't know if they smoke this day and age though, sure hope not.

Maxima is one of my favorite crown princesses, I hope she stops smoking it hasn't done anything for her aging process. Anyway, is she pregnant again, didn't she just have a girl recently?

ok, waitaminute. I know she <used> to be a smoker. But there's no evidence in at least the past two years I think, that she's smoking still. Especially since she's been pregnant now three times in a span of 4 years. So let's assume she quit.

Yes she is. It's hard to keep the score, isn't it, with the current Euro royal baby boom

Isn't it also true that pilots have a higher possibility to get girls to? Something to do with the altitude? Prince Bernhard was a pilot and only got girls, Willem-Alexander is a pilot to, and two girls thus far.
According to the gossip magazines it will be a boy, how they know is not clear as the crownprincely couple claims they didn't know the sex of their two other children before birth, and it is most likely they don't want to know the sex of this child before it is born either.

But Marengo! Gossip magazines know everything, didn't you know?
I find this pilot thing very interesting. Something I should tell a friend of mine who's dating a pilot!

Hello everybody,
This is my first post!
As far as the boy-girl guess is concerned, just as Helena I do hope they skip the A-name tradition this time...
And in my humble opinion, a girl is what Maxima and WA are getting this time - again. Most people are expecting (and voting) for a young 'Prins' to be born, so it's pretty obvious that they will get another little princess.
After all, we should not forget Gumperson's Law [one of Murphy's Laws]: "The probability of anything happening is in inverse ratio to its desirability".

Interesting indeed, never heard this but it would make sense, considering. Funny actually this reminds me of Prince Bernhard's nutty theory, which he disclosed to a staunch anti-royalist friend of his, Martin van Amerongen. According to van Amerongen, Bernhard told him in the late nineties that his theory was that a woman who isn't great looking, will have girls. A good looking woman will have more boys!! Can you imagine how insulting this is to his own wife, who had 4 girls, and to his mistresses, both of whom had daughters as well? Anyways we know that the sex of an infant is 'decided' by the father, not the mother if I'm correct.

I think it's complete and utter wishful thinking on their part, driven by the bottom line. In order to sell those magazines, if they had the headline "it will be a girl again this time", it might sell less magazines than "Oh boy it will be a boy" which is something else for a change which may make people look up and purchase the magazine, I suppose.

I'm with you, I somehow think it's going to be another girl.
But then again, I've been wrong on so many occasions (I thought Anita was going to have a boy, I thought Letizia was going to have a boy, and on and on ) only to be proven utterly wrong! So maybe the fact that I have the hunch that it might be a girl this time, actually underlines the likelyhood it might be a boy..
And yes, whatever it will be, as long as they'll stay far and away from a poor choice for a name, but that isn't certain..

I hope for a boy, it's time they shuffle the gender cards... with previous queens and princesses having only girls or boys.

At first I thought it would be a girl, but now I'm starting to have the feeling it will be a boy. So basically I don't have a clue. Most of all I hope it will be a healthy, happy baby.
