That's weird I have seen nothing but positive and glowing reviews on social media about Amalia.

I think it's not so much *the media* as *online commentators* and *comments on social media*, which really is a different thing i really hope Amalia is smart enough not to read comments..

I really like the close-up by Rex of Amalia without sunglasses: a lovely 'soft' look.

I don't think the family help themselves sometimes with other actions. That though doesn't mean anyone should make unfair comments about body shape, appearances etc. I think they are all blessed to look good. Amalia is striking.

NOS-article with short videos. The prime minister of Aruba asked after princess Beatrix. The king told her that she is doing well and will celebrate her 85th birthday tomorrow.

20 mins from above lines and I can't find a mention on where are they staying, so I assume one of the luxury hotels or the Governor's house (?). Interesting fact, when you google anything royal, like I typed
Queen Máxima and King Willem-Alexander visit the Dutch Caribbean Islands it's the Royal Forums the primary source that comes up on the search engine.

Granted, there are several online commenters that have come to her defense but still, it has to already be an anxiety inducing trip that is being made worse by commentary that no doubt leaves her self-conscious.

She is still a beautiful and healthy young lady.
Five mins after I posted this I searched online and can't believe the insults not from hidden people behind the keyboards but from the UK publications, too. One Tatler headline aims straight at body shaming 19 year old Amalia.

Why is it that her father has managed to become twice the size he was when married Maxima, and yet no one ever comments on the unhealthy lifestyle the king must be leading, or how this is an issue he needs to correct for better PR?
I don't believe I've ever heard Juliana or Wilhelmina deemed unhealthy, either, and Amalia simply looks like both of them. Some people are different sizes.
Amalia is known to be active and perfectly healthy and there is no reason she should have to change anything for anyone unless it suits her.

What is the tatler headline? Do you have a link? I only see one and it doesn't make any comment that suggests bodyshaming from my read.
There is a big differenece saying she is not wearing clothes that suit her or allow her to look her best and bodyshaming IMO. I don't think she looks unhealthy at all and should carry on as she is - perhaps with slightly better outfit choices.

Posts that did discuss weight only have been removed according to the TRF rules. We should not to the same mistake as the criticized online commentators making this trip about weight and health issues mainly, please remain on topic of this thread. Thank you!

Eveline van den Bent is also part of the entourage. She is currently the private secretary but previous was personal secretary to Máxima and before that the princesses' nanny. So, I am sure she has a special bond with Amalia as well.
She can be seen on one of the PPE pictures: https://www.ppe-agency.com/show.php?...023%20Antillen

I thought the Queen's private secretary was Xiaoling Wu. Was she replaced?

She still is.
Eveline has been a shared private secretary to both king and queen since 2020 but also continued some of her duties as 'personal assistant' to the king and queen. I'd say she is most likely the closest confidante of the royal family within their household.
It looks like the hike in Arikok National Park was a rather short one. The group picture was taken at the parking of the visitor center... Quite a pity; we made a lovely long hike in March last year.

Of course. It was one demonstrator (a politician) demanding awareness for slavery and huge re-payments to descendants of enslaved people.
