But look at the other crown princesses and their children! Maxima's second pregnancy was announced on Amalia's first birthday and Letizia became pregnant when Leonor was about 10 months old. I don't hink that it is very uncommon that crown princesses are expecting again only some months after having given birth

Well the recent batch of princesses are no spring chickens. They have to get on the ball and get them babies out fairly quickly. And depending on how large they want their families it would appear a smart idea to become pregant shortly after giving birth to their last rugrat.

LOL!!! So true i guess they don't want to wait.
IDK if PMM is preggers or not BUT i would say that she is very stylish. I don't visit this thread very often but IMO years ago she didn't really have much fashion sense. Now it definitely has improved.
SO CONGRATS TO HER ON THE IMPROVEMENT.

I don't know whether this is the place to post this, but I found this video:
I can understand some of the parody on it, but I would like to know exactly what is the woman saying
Thanks in advance and sorry for the inconvenience

Well, first she is starting by overutilizing the words "Hyggelig" & "Fint" (Cozy and nice" as Mette-Marit is wont to do - and then she talks about how being a clown can be sad on the inside even if it is happy on the outside. Then she talks about abuse problems: how she's abused jokes, and how she, at the opening of some tunnels on the West Coast, made a joke that fell flat and Haakon was the only one who laughed, when they got home, but it was only to be nice... It's an amusing parody, imo, in that it is funny in places, and isn't vicious.

Wasn't there a reference to that famous "youthful experiment"-statement from the pre-engagement interview too?

it's the tummy from sverre's pregnancy. she hasn't completley lost all her baby weight. i appreciate her for not being so incredibly keen in looking skinny, and finally for wearing some coloured clothes.

Mette-Marit parody?
I found this on YouTube and it seems to be a gentle parody of the crown princess. The actress looks a LOT like Mette-Marit! But unfortunately, I don't speak Norwegian. Could someone give me the gist of what is said?

We have an entire thread, dedicated to Royal Wedding Speeches.
Here is Crown Prince Haakon's speech, provided in Danielle's post.

Thanks Larzen- that is the first time I read the interview although I did see the pictures. She just seems so natural, that is one of the many reason that the CP family is my favorite family.
Thanks again

Thanks Larzen. This was very interesting and I'd love to read more first-person interviews with Mette Marit. She is one of my favorite royals both for her style and because she seems so real and approachable. Actually I would really love to know what hair products she uses! Would the media even ask such a thing of royalty? :-)

Does anybody know whether the new book about her has already been translated into English or German or whether there is a plan to do so?

The new book won't be out in Norwegian until March, or thereabouts.
All I can say is that I recommend writing the publisher and asking Font Forlag seems to have translated/sold rights to some of their books into English/German, so it might be a possibility.

Looks like people watching parody of MM had real fun. I wish could understand anything.
Actress playing MM is very pretty and really similar to CP.
