Back to the security guards for the royal children in school, I second what Mandy said. I recall reading an article a long time ago about the security people around William and Harry and it also said that their guards stayed in the hallway -- which would make sense -- unless someone were climbing in the window, they could head off an intruder before (s)he got to the classroom and threatened all the children.

I read somewhere that these alarms are rather small, so even a child could carry one. Personally, I like the idea of the royals having them for safety.
I wonder if it sets of a noise in the guards ear piece or something. I don't know much about the subject.

Mette-Marit on dating tv-show
I read on Wikipedia that Mette-Marit in her younger days was on a t.v. to in their words "looking for a man" and I was wondering if anybody had any pictures of video of this?

they showed that video in my country the day they wed. i thought that was quite impolite, since it's not in my opinion the time when something like that is supposed to be shown. she went to one of those programs to find a partner, and they presented her some men they thought she may like, and then she chose one. i think that was the only time she was in the tv, in that show. perhaps some of the norwegian posters can tell us more...

OMG that was horrible to show that video on her wedding day! I don't know if the media knows they are being that cruel sometimes or maybe they do. I know Haakon and Mette-Marit is busy with the baby but is there any new news about them?

In her biography it says that she took part in that dating show because her friend presented the program. Apparently it was a rather stupid show, more for fun than for finding real love. It also says she was pregnant at this time and that this guy won an eveinng of dancing with her, as far as I remember.

Copenhagen airport closed earlier today for incoming commercial flights, because of the weather, so I wonder if they're going to open it for incoming private planes tonight? Or if Haakon and Mette-Marit arrived before they closed it?
Or if they're arriving early tomorrow...

VG actually has an article on it (with pictures.) as Larzen mentioned earlier. They're taking the night train instead, and will be arriving at 07.23 AM tomorrow morning in Copenhagen. It must be a relief for Mette-Marit's fear of flying, but stressful otherwise.

Isn´t she over this? I imagine it much more stressful to change the plans in the middle of the night and to travel in a train with a baby. They probably will feel tomorrow, as if the day doesn´t have 24 but 240 hours (until they finally can go to a real bed)
But it´s extremely nice of Haakon to try his best and to get all obstacles out of the way, so that he can particpate in the ceremony :)

Agreed. I don't want to be mean, but I can't help but compare the Norwegian Royals going out of their way to attend this christening on Ingrid Alexandra's birthday, when Frederik and Mary didn't attend Ingrid Alexandra's christening simply because it was a month before the wedding.

Don't worry kwanfan you're not mean. I tought with the christening falling on Ingrid Alexandras birthday and with Sverre Magnus being so young that they wouldn't go.

Sorry for my ignorance, but how does a train get to Copenhagen? Is it possible for it to cross a bridge, like at Malmo?

A bridge was opened between Copenhagen and Malmø a few years ago, and there is a railway going across.
Before then, the trains were transported over by way of ferry, I think.

Yesterday at the baptism I saw Mette-Marit on TV. She looked really stunning. She has a very photogenic face and I love her blond hair. But she could really dress less conservative, like Märtha, I love her style.

To me the most touching moments at the christening yesterday (besides Mary's and Frederik's tears) have been Mette Marit's and Haakon's loving gestures. Love was definetly in the air :)
