It’s nice to receive a mix of gifts when younger. Some confirmation gifts will be valuable momentos and others instantly enjoyable. I remember receiving the ‘Muppets Show’ album as a confirmation present which was by far the most enjoyable and memorable for some of the lyrics! BTW did Marius have a confirmation ceremony? Although I think his would have been private and perhaps with other classmates.

Soundboks is Danish:

SOUNDBOKS began as three high school friends in Denmark. We wanted to break through the noise of Roskilde Festival with the loudest music and the best parties. So we designed and built a speaker that would outlast the wildest nights and take anything our favorite week-long, outdoor festival could throw at it.

It seems like a fun and even meaninfgul gift to me - considering Frederik's love for music and Ingrid's love for outdoor activities. I hope she will make great memories with it.

Yes he had his confirmation with his classmates couple years ago, IIRC Harald and Sonja had also attended.

Well, talking of another human being not being a "mass murderer" as a "creature" takes it a bit far, don´t you think?!
"Double-standard Ragnhild" isn´t around anymore - bless her - and the Royal Couple doesn´t seem we ought to be sorry for at all. They seem to be wise enough what many of us so often fail to do: Take all things in life as they are and come your way with humour and dignity!

Yes, but she always seemed to me to be a very self-assured, confident girl very different from a Victoria of Sweden from the mid-1990s. I guess how you turn out to be when you get all support and love from your parents they can possibly give!
I thought it quite interesting that IA stepped on the balcony only with her father at her side! Not with the King and her father, not with the royal couple and Haakon or not with her parents, but just her father and she. I think they might have decided so for symbolic reasons; the future and the future after that...?!
I have a question about the service: What was the song about, a young, darker coloured lady sang - I think it was something about health, breathing, the body (that´s at least what my bad norwegian understood... )? I just thought what has this to do with a christian konfirmation.
And what did the blonde lady-bishop say that shocked the Princess a second and everybody laughed? IA then seemed relieved and smiled, too.

Although confidence can become a more learned behavior, some people’s natural personality is to be confident.

I think the Shaman could be white and get the same reaction, which has more to do with his chosen “career” seeming a bit shady, than the color of his skin. There’s some interesting reading about it in the thread about Martha Louise and his relationship.

Do Lutherans take an additional name at Confirmation like Roman Catholics? (I had to take a Saints name at my confirmation which was read out loud by the bishop as I was confirmed).

I wonder if Prince Haakon’s signet ring was a gift from his confirmation. Have always wondered the origin and history of that ring.

Well, Felipe dated the Norwegian Eva Sannum for 4 years, before he married Letizia, so who knows, maybe he still knows a bit Norwegian

Calling any human being a creature is repugnant and evil.

What was Princess Astrid gift to Princess Ingrid Alexandra?
Because I've read from a source that she received a cameo piece of jewelry that resembles the Royal Order of Victoria and Albert of which is a favorite of Princess Astrid. Looks like this was a heirloom from Queen Maud.

Perhaps you should inform Vatican about your position
Quote:
"God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them." Man occupies a unique place in creation: he is "in the image of God"; in his own nature he unites the spiritual and material worlds; he is created "male and female"; God established him in his friendship.
Of all visible creatures only man is "able to know and love his creator". He is "the only creature on earth that God has willed for its own sake", and he alone is called to share, by knowledge and love, in God's own life.

I am Catholic and I didn’t take any additional name at my confirmation. Maybe the practice varies from country to country ?
