The Crown Princely couple must be so proud of Princess Ingrid Alexandra today.

A very beautiful gift. What was Prince Frederik's gift and Princess Victoria's gift?

NRK didn't show them at their broadcast.

Crown Princess Mary proved once more that she is very smart dresser.
It's tough day for king Felipe. Perhaps, he is the only one who absolutely doesn't understand Norwegian language.
Why is it a suprise that Victoria doesn't wear a national dress?? And who knows, maybe Felipe do understand norwegian......

I like the story behind Ingrid Alexandra's bunad (gift from grandparents and Ingrid Alexandra and Sonja working on it together) more than I like the bunad itsef.

The Swedish national costume looks different than the Norwegian bunad and if Victoria wore her national costume she still would have looked markedly different than the other women in the photos.

And they all are Norwegian I believe. While Victoria isn't. BTW Astrid didn't wear one too.

Quite odd if a Swede wears a Swedish national dress to a Norwegian ceremony if you ask me. I guess the memo would suggest, a day dress or a Norwegian Bunad, rather than a day dress or any kind of national dress.

Say it to a guest who actually wore Swedish national dress at this event

I saw on the video that Maud-Angelica wore a bunad while her sisters did not. Is that because she has been confirmed and they have not?

I'm fairly certain that was the Swedish ambassador's wife – the official Swedish representatives. Victoria is not there as a representative for Sweden but as a godmother.

This is lovely!!!! I wonder if this is a heirloom or a newly bought gift.

There are two official portraits of Princess Ingrid. And she looks stunning.

Totally agree. Can't understand why anyone make a big deal out of it in the first place.

So? It doesn't mean day dress is unacceptable. My point is, the dress code is either Bunad/national dress or day dress.

Maybe Astrid, who is a member of the host family, as well as the Norwegian PM (she is the one who wore a pink dress today?) didn't "catch the spirit" too.

Well I found that all absolutely delightful Thought I'd be just watching for 20 mins or so (while I'm watching a 24 hour endurance motor race) but 5 hours later, I'm just finishing. Fantastic, what a great day

Couple of points - other than just the event itself - Crown Princess Victoria lighting the candle then winking at Princess Ingrid Alexandra and the film clip that was shown on NKR (I think that's what I was watching) of Princess Ingrid growing up.

Lovely, lovely, lovely

Lovely pics! I cannot believe how big IA is now! I remember her as a wee thing still from my early royal watching days. I loved the ladies in their national dress.

Lovely to see Felipe there as GP as well.
