I just hope that all goes well for Mette-Marit and baby. There were some prblems, and I hope that they don't cause any complications during labor.:)

I have also heard that the date is on the 29th but I have also heard that de due is on Queen Mauds birthday, the 26th! I think it was BA (Bergens Avisen) or BT(Bergens Tidene) that said it was on the 26th and Se og Hør I think said it was on the 29th....:)

And since Mette-Marit said in an interview that it was private... we really don't know. And besides that, a baby might decide to appear before the time, or after the time it supposedly is due.
(Though, I'm kind of hoping for the 29th... My mother is visiting me in Copenhagen and, while she's a royal fan too, I don't think she'd take too kindly to spending her birthday, the 26th, watching television for news about the birth... )

The Crown Prince is at an event right now so I think that means the birth will not be today
Vg has an article saying peole are betting money it is a girl, the ods for a girl is 1.85, the ods for a boy is 1.90, The ods for twins however is 30 times the money back. Its no longer posible to bet money on the sex as it is closed due to the fact the the birth is close.

Who knows? I bet it'll happen very fast and unexpectedly, and there'll be no babywatch at all. :-) It's her third child, after all, so the birth could be over quickly.

Haakon doesn't have anything scheduled from Saturday onwards - he is not joining the rest of the family at Oslo Spektrum, according to the programme at the webpage... So it could happen any day now.
It would be a bit strange if it were to happen on Sunday, as the Palace is hosting a ball then...

it would be quite funny and interesting to see... Imagine in the middle of King's toast or greeting the guests, Haakon got a whisper from his aide telling Mette-Marit is going to labour... then, Haakon looks surprised and quickly tell his sister, father, and mother, he had to rush home or to rigshospitalet....
the press, of course, followed haakon on the way to see mette-marit and he got there just in time for the baby to be born... :) :)
hehe.... it would be an interesting scenario...

I'm sure MM would agree with you. She must be eager to get it all over with by now as the last stage of precnancy can be so annoying.

I hope the baby comes today. I'm leaving on a cruise Saturday, and internet access is extremely expensive on cruise ships.

Have fun on your cruise, kwanfan! I hope you enjoy yourself! Maybe you can ask a friend to send you a text message once the baby arrives. :-)

I guess they had to anounce the pregnancy so early on because her condition was forcing Mette Marit to cancel royal duties.
but its frustrating because we have to wait sooooooo long and the anouncement came around the same time as Mary and Letizia who both already have their babies now.

Another royal baby is going to come into the world? Suprise, surprise! I hope Mette-Marit delivers soon, she must be very uncomfortable. Whenever it happens, I hope she has a safe delivery and Norway will have a new prince/princess. I don't care what the gender is since we've had a mix batch with the previous royal births. As long as the baby is healthy and happy!

I thought for sure that Mette-Marit would deliver before now. It shows you how much I know! When I saw her pictures when she was in London, the baby hadn't dropped yet she was still carrying her/him high. Well, babies come when they decide they want to come. I still hope it's this weekend.:p

when mary anniounced her preg she had already passed her first trimester. mette did not yet pass them although both pregnancies were announced the same day, so that's why mary's been enjoying her baby for weeks now, and mett's baby is not yet born.
