Ive read on a royal message board a few minutes ago that a member from Norway stated that there's a rumor that Mette-Marit is in hospital. Does anyone know any further information? It was stated that nurses confirmed that she was in hospital but not in labour.

is it already time for Mette-Marit's Baby Watch?
or she just went to the hospital for check-up or maybe early contractions like Mary & Letizia.

Well, she'd be a lot closer to her due date now, than Mary or Letizia were when they had early contractions. Her due date was moved up to the end of November.

There isn't anything in the Norwegian papers (online) yet.

That CPss Mette-Marit has considered giving birth at home has long been known. Se og Hør says in their last number that Rigshospitalet and Skaugum works out a way to have the baby at home. If something should happen during the birth the maternity ward at the hospital will be ready to receive the Cpss
Mette-Marit could deliver her 3 child anyday, the unofficial term is November 29th (according to Se og Hør, yes take it with a grain of salt, Mette-Marit is convinced she will have the baby the 27th) when Ingird Alexandra was born Mette-Marit choose to leave the clinic shortly after the birth, again according to Se og Hør Mette-Marit shall have asked her doctor to be prepared for the coming weekend.
Nor the palace nor the hospital will comment on anything around the birth, however Mette-Marits health trouble in this pregnancy can speak against a home-birth
|
translation from nettavisen, they have lifted it all from Se og Hør so take it for what it is worth but I guess a home birth is not out of the question

A home birth would definitely be questioned, I think, as Mette-Marit's pregnancy hasn't been the easiest. I have no idea as to what they might do, but with the history in this pregnancy, I'd think that they'd want it to be as safe as possible.

I don't think that the couple would want to endanger their child, and after the problems that Mette-Marit has had, I doubt a home birth will happen.

I haven't seen anything else online about MM in the hospital so it must have been a rumor. I apologize to everyone. I can't see MM having a home birth with her problem pregnancy. Why take any chances? :(

i agree with what most of you said about the home birth. i really doubt it will happen, considering that this pregnancy wasn't really good and had some complications. i guess that they would consider safer to have the baby in the hospital.

I hope even if Mette Marit decide to give birth at home, we still get a "quick" 1st glance of the new baby (perhaps release some of Haakon's home-made photos) and the Crown Prince gave a press conference outside their Skaugum home.
It should be fun to watch rather than done in a hospital.
But, whatever happen, i hope they put the baby's safety first...
Hopefully the baby watch begins shortly, and we can see a new prince or princess in a week or so... hopefully...

It would probably be a nicer experience if she had the baby at home, privacy and her family around her but I am not sure with her low blood pressure etc if they will want to take any risks.
I would love to have a home birth (if I ever have kids!) but I would be terrified something might go wrong, I would probably opt for a natural birthing place. Not as clinical as a hospital but they have medical knowledge.

It does not seem a good idea to me that she gives birth at home. It's better for a woman who had problems during her pregnancy to give birth at the hospital.

If the source has been posted already sorry, but where have these rumors about a home birth come from?
I think that Martha-Louise hada home birth, but where would this idea about Mette-Marit come from?
