Mette-Marit and Mental Health

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Mette-Marit looks really pretty. IMO I think what is missing from her outfit is the lack of accessories maybe a brooch or necklace.

I personally think that accessorizing is a knack that some people have and some don't (me included:)) so I wouldn't suggest looking like a Christmas tree but a little something extra wouldn't hurt

Fab pictures ( must say so wish she would wear her hair slightly shorter)

What is with everybody not buttoning the last button on their jackets? Haakon doesn't, Frederik doesn't, and Mette-Marit doesn't... It's becoming a pet-peeve of mine. It just looks so sloppy.

You're right!
I didn't notice that before! But now when you said it..
It really looks strange...
Maybe her jacket is too tight on her belly. Just kidding..

I can't believe what I'm seeing: Mette cut her hair!
What can I say; Finally!!!
She looks much better with shorter hair like this! The long hair was pretty, too, but it always made her look messy.
So, well done, Mette ;)

I like MM's outfit today. Nothing crazy, just a nice top and pants! Hope to see more of this and less of riding boots & shirts from her. She is a stunning woman and I would love to see her in more refined clothes like today's outfit.

she looks fab , love the outfit and the hair !

Lovely, but to be honest I think she looks fantastic with short and long hair

Mette-Marit looks great! The top is fun and somewhat fancy without being too dressy. And she always has such great shoes ANP Beeldbank

A bit about the occasion for the outing:

Crown Princess Mette-Marit marked the World Mental Health Day by being present at the opening of a new institution for adults with mental problems in Bærum municipality Wednesday.

"It is important that everybody with mental problems are met on the same terms as the rest of society, and that they get good help," the Crown Princess said. She also met two of the users at the new center and talked to them.

She looks good; I love her nails and shoes, especially the shoes. However, I defintely don't like the top although she can pull it off.

She looks lovely - this woman is a phenomenon. How can you look so lovely one day and like something the cat dragged in the next? I mean, other princesses get complicated hairdos and complicated makeup and then look lovely, whereas they would just look "normal" without it. But Mette-Marit does almost never change her hairstyle or put on more than a little bit of lipstick - and her clothes alone determine whether she looks great or just strange. *sigh* I don't quite get it.

More pictures from Budstikka, there is also a video attached to the article if you press the little red camera

Thanks Larzen for the links. On the link above, I really liked the first picture of MM having a talk with the two ladies:) I enjoying seeing pictures of the royals interacting with the people rather than just pictures of the royals attending the event.

Gosh ...

Here are two pictures from the TV documantary she is doing about people with mental health problems, in the documentary she meets 4 people, one old man that has lost his wife and became very lonely now he goes to a daycare center 3 days a week to socialise with other people

Then there is a 26 year old man who is scared of all sorts of things and punished himselves by cutting his wrists (I dont know the english translation of what he is suffering from)

She also meets two women with drug problems who has lost the care of her children because of that
MM was asked about doing this one week after IA was born. The documentary will be shown on october 15. on NRK

Gosh, I shall have to learn Norwegian, won't I? All these lovely Articles and Interviews done in a Language I don't speak. Talk about incentive to learn!
Is Norwegian hard?

Is Norwegian hard?
I heard so, yes...
The good thing is: when you learn to speak Norwegian you'll be able to understand Swedish and Danish as well!

Btw, when you "read" those kind of articles from time to time you start to understand more and more of what's written there every time. ;)

Being Norwegian I obviously find it easy, but I've heard that Scandinavian languages are quite hard to learn. One thing is the pronounciation (which makes Danish hard) but also grammar (the articles, nouns and pronouns cause problems for many). Norwegian is complicated with the two written versions we have (Bokmål = book language (roots in Danish) = the version you ususallly find in national news papers etc. and Nynorsk = new Norwegian (roots in dialects). This makes it hard for foreigners since most of the "Norwegian for beginners" books are published in Bokmål.

I agree. I always love her shoes. IMO she has the best Royal Shoe-collection (excluded the ugly boots she wore lately) ;).
Totally agree, those shoes look very beautiful indeed but the boots she wore a few days ago....please:bang:

she is just great! i envy for her haer! :)

Thanks Larzen for the lovely pictures. MM looks nice today, though I had expected her to be in black again today. I thought the theme of the competition was different. Would be really intresting to see what they could wire about that at this age.

Will the stories & films produced be out for the public ? or who ever wins theyre film/writing be published?

She looks good today. I agree that it seems like an interesting competition. It seems like a good way to promote tolerance for mental health issues among teens, which are sometimes not the most tolerant group.

Having a competition in a fairly modern medium - the video, (although to the participants, I suspect it might be outdated already :ROFLMAO: ) and aiming it to the people who might want to experiment with video, and to those who might want to be writers, might provide a bit more inspiration than simply Mette-Marit giving a lecture on the topic.

Hooking them just as they're beginning the second level of Norwegian education (ungdomsskolen) and before they're too set in their own mindset, seems like an excellent idea.

She does look happy. I'm sure she enjoyed being around the children after all the sadness of her stepfather's funeral the day before. Green is a nice color for her.

Green is a nice color for most blondes! I'm a little surprised she was out and about so soon after the passing of her stepfather's funeral. Good for her. Always nice to see her.
