Ingrid Alexandra will be one day the queen of Norway and the baby who is a boy will not. So for the first time in Norway especially since 1905 there will be in the future a new branch of the royal family like the Kent or the Gloucester in UK.

I guess the situation is similar to Harald & Sonja who had a girl first then a boy...
but this time it's different.. Norway is going to have a Queen, and the little baby boy will remain a Prince :) :)

They left the hospital half an hour after the press conference, according to VG.
I think it is a nice way of doing it - I heard some on VG's discussion forums complaining about them leaving so quickly, and not out the front - but the same people would be complaining about it if she had stayed a few more days as well, and accused Mette-Marit for wanting attention if she went out the front, I suspect.
Security and everything else must be much easier to take care of at Skaugum.
