Haakon said Ingrid was not used to so many children at one time, but that it went well. When they were supposed to leav Ingrid did not want to go and ran back to the house and her mother had to carry her to the car

Ingrid was very proud of her food-box and showed it off to the press. In the beginning she will only be there for half of the day to get used to new situation from beeing at Skaugum all day

fantastic pictures!:)

Don't they have a long christmas hollyday in Norway?

The Christmas holidays last for most people from 21/22 December until 2/3/4 January. But this depends a bit on how the Christmas holiday land in the calendar (basically if it lands during the week or during the weekend). People who work in shops and business often have to work 28-31 December.

Thanks for the video link Larzen. Little Ingrid is sooo adorable. I wonder of Mette-Marit was very upset about her starting kindergarten?

Wonderful pictures, thank you so much for posting them Larzen and mandyy! Ingrid Alexandra is such a cutie. It's incredible how time flies, she's becoming more of a young lady every day :D

Indeed she has a great food box to show off, that will fit just splendidly to bring her own little matpakke in :)

If I may ask our Norwegian posters here - what does the children normally get in their matpakke for school? (What I remember from my skiing holiday in Norway many years ago, the matpakke we brought for when we were to "gå på tur" (go out in the mountains skiing for a day) it was basically sandwiches, a fruit and something warm to drink)

Basically a matpakke consists of slices of bread with different spread on them. Classics are; liver pate, baloney sausage, ham, fårepølse (a cured sausage made from mutton), cheese and brown cheese. Drinks you often get from the kindergarten, that being orange juice, apple juice and milk. I also think you can "subscribe" to fruits and yoghurts in some kindergartens.

Some kindergartens also serve breakfast and/or lunch meals themselves (for a fee I guess) so that you don't need to bring matpakke. Or they have one or two days a week where the kids make food like soups and stews and buns.

At least that is how it was when I went to kindergarten some 20 years ago :D And I've also heard from my friends with kids in kindergarten that the matpakke is losing its popularity in kindergarten because they do the food themselves.

Is there another video link apart from the one that Larzen mentioned? I tried to watch the video, but it didn't work.

I dont know about any other:(

her are som emore from ANB/SISTE and Eva Groven/Budstikka

She really looks like her mother now. She is so cute

Mette-Marit looks stunning in these pictures, like some Nordic winter goddess, don't you think?

I heard Princess Ingrid Alexandra said something to her mom in the video. Was it just baby talk or did she actually mean something???

Awww! Ingrid is such a cutie! Mette-Marit's really been busy since the birth of Sverre. She's done the photo shoot with her family, the Christmas photo shoot, gone to public Christmas Eve services, taken Ingrid to school, and will be in Denmark for the baby prince's christening.

Ingrid Alexandra is so adorable and cute.

She is totally cute . She more and more resembles Mette-Marit but also Queen Sonja .

Lovely pictures! They look like such a loving family I'm happy for them. Ingrid Alexandra is too cute.:)

I'm like in love with her eyes. Wow she's going to school already - smart cookie.
