Haakon looks especially good in this uniform. What is the difference between this uniform Haakon wears and the unfirom he wore at his wedding? Does he wear this uniform when he acts as Regent only?

Im no specialist on uniforms, but I think it is the same without the belt, the medals, sash and the things on the shoulder, I suppose the one at his wedding was the gala vertion? The uniform is from the army, which is the one he wears almost all the time, at the funeral of count Flemming I think he wore the one from the navy, cant really remeber if I have ever seen him wearing the one from the air force.

Around the time of the wedding there was some marines in the papers saying that he should get married in his navy uniform, becuse that is where he did most of his military training. King Haralad also got married in the armys uiform and almost always wear it, so I suppose it was some kind of tradition.

The reciving of ambasadors always takes place in Uniform, as do the state council, even if Haakon just attends together with the King. Also when attending military related events he will be ein uniform even if he is not regent

I hope that the King is making a speedy recovery following his heart surgery a couple of weeks ago and the surgery he had on Sunday. Let's hope that he will be out of the hospital by the end of next week.

After he and Mette-Marit opened the Norway-Sweden exhibition Haakon payed a visit to Inovation Norway for three hours. (no pics of that ) Tomorrow he and Mette-Marit will host a dinner for 25 business people in their home Skaugum VG.no reports although the event is not listed in their calendar. The goal is to strengthen the ties with Norwegain companies. On their trip to Poland Haakon and Mette-Marit will head the business delegation of about 30-40 that will focus on food safty, travel and tourism as well as sciense (Fashion note: Mette-Marit has to make a real effort not to be totally out glammed by the uberstylish Polish first lady which they will meet with, no boring brown suits, snakeskin shoes and dismatched purses please)

Article in Norwegian and one more picture from the exhibition

In this photo released by the Palestinian Authority, Palestinian Authority President mahmoud abbas, also known as Abu Mazen, left, meets with Norway's Crown Prince Haakon at the Royal Palace in Oslo Wednesday April 26, 2006. Abbas said Wednesday that he was ready to lead negotiations with Israel, and that the election of a Hamas government was no obstacle.

This Friday is very busy for Haakon, actually I almost dont understand how is going to have time to go from Oslo and out in nowhere in Lakselv in the very north of Norway and then to Luxembourg, but they have pushed the state council earlier in the morning, usually it is at 11. Haakon is regent which means The King is out of the country, I think he is in Valencia sailing.

08.30 The Crown Prince Regent presides state council

The Crown Prince Regent is present for a ceremony to mark the Finnmarkslaw and Finnmarksproperty take pocession of land in Finnmark - Lakselv (I have not heared of this, not sure what this ceremony is about really)

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess is present for the Silver Wedding celebrations of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess in Luxembourg until July 1.
