John Hope Bryant is Haakon's fellow friend at Young Global Leaders.
He posted a few photos of Haakon, also Mette-Marit & Ingrid Alexandra over at his blog, here
This photo is taken on December 15, 2005

Never mind me, ...I was honored to spend some quality time with these two Prince of gentlemen (and hey, one of them is a real PRINCE! Smile), scheming about how we can "change the world" in 2006 and beyond.
Here I am hanging with my friends, my "brothers," and fellow Young Global Leader members HRH Crown Prince Haakon Magnus of Norway, and Professor Pekka Himanen of Finland, in the beautiful city of Oslo, in one of my new favorite countries in the world of Norway.

John Hope Bryant also wrote some interesting things over at his blog

Two of the nicest people in the world, who just so happen to part of royal family of Norway, namely HRH Crown Prince Haakon Magnus ("the Great" -- I always like saying this part, smile) and Crown Princess Mette-Marit (not pictured here), today -- it was announced to the world -- had their second child; and its a boy! A Prince of a child for sure (okay, I need to stop -- smile again).
These are two incredible individuals, with a real heart for changing the world and living for something larger and more important than themselves. They are in turn giving these values to their children. I recently visited the royal family (Crown Prince Haakon is a fellow YGL) for a working trip around a to be announced initiative, along with our friend Professor Pekka Himanen, pictured here next to me (at dinner with the Crown Prince and friends in Oslo, Norway).
God is good, and the Crown Prince and Princess deserving....

Fellow Young Global Leader (Professor) Pekka Himanen, a world renowned philosopher, friend, World Economic Forum and Forum of Young Global Leader representative Martina Gmur and I traveled to Oslo, Norway as guests of YGL member HRH Crown Prince Haakon Magus of Norway. Here we initiate our initial planning meeting around the YGL Povery & Development Committee agenda, and what we now call The Dignity Project. The Crown Prince, his wife, Princess Mette-Marit and the entire family could not have been nicer people. The Crown Prince himself is another one of my adopted "brothers, from another mother..."

The Inaugural Summit for the Forum of Young Global Leaders in Zermatt, Switzerland lived up to its billing as a gathering together of some of the world's best and brightest lights, and leaders for the future.
Here I am engaging in a passionate, interactive conversation about poverty eradication strategies, and the empowerment of the poor, with H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and other YGL members. The Crown Prince, heir to the Norwegian throne and son of His Majesty King Harold and Her Majesty Queen Sonja, is very sharp, and cares deeply about the issue of poverty. We had several good interactions together, both in our formal and informal discussions. The Crown Prince is also a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme where e focuses on promoting the Millennium Developmental Goals.

Here H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon my sweetie, Mrs. Sheila Kennedy Bryant, and I discuss "what we are going to do" around the issue of poverty eradication by 2020, at the formal dinner of the Forum of Young Global Leaders in Zermatt, Switzerland. Crown Prince Haakon, an extremely nice, caring, thoughtful and intelligent man, has agreed to work with me on the YGL committee for poverty and development. Our first report is due back to the World Economic Forum by September 1, 2005.

and quite surprising... Haakon apparently hosted a meeting for the Young Global Leaders at Oslo on September 30, 2005 - October 1, 2005.
I think some of the photos are taken at Skaugum. it's surprising seeing the interiors..

I'm very proud of Norways royal family! Crown Prince Haakon will be a great king for our country. But I still hope we get to keep King Harald for many years to come:)

What a rare find Purpel Paltinum:) those are pictures from inside their private appartment in skaugum, except the ones with the blue and white wall paper which is from the first floor where the christmas baking pictures was taken, the only pics we have seen from that appartment is the walls in a corner in Ingrids birthday videos
I wonder what they are working on and if the man has gotten promission to put those pictures in his blog, they look very private.

I agree, Larzen. Especially since Haakon and Mette-Marit have been very protective over what their apartment looks like, it feels very much like an intrusion.
Though, it isn't as if though it is a secret spy camera - and they (Mette-Marit on the couch in the background of one of the pictures, aside) look aware that there are someone there with camera.

I think they are very aware the photos were taken, as they are posing with friends.
what i wonder is whether they're aware the photos are going to be posted on a blog.
It looks like the blog's writer & friends are staying at skaugum during those meetings...

great photos purple platinum! i loved to see the pictures of the house. however, as larzen and norwegianne said, i got the impression he may get in trouble because of putting them online. think we should keep a low profile about them and not make a lot of fuss about them, as he was so kind to "paparazzingly" show us skaugum... :)

agreed completely, carlota.. we should just hush hush and not make it a big deal
the writer of the blog, if you read it, i think is a good friend of Haakon as he is also a fellow YGL members.
i believe they went to Skaugum to have private informal meetings and prepare for presentations, that's why we see haakon with his laptop, etc.
in between those meetings, of course, there's time to hang out with mette-marit & ingrid alexandra.
we get a glimpse of skaugum, yeah... :)
considering breaking privacy, somehow i get the feeling, the blog writer is very proud to befriend with haakon (and he got no reasons not too), but if it was me, i would think twice before putting pictures of my "famous friends" over at public blog.

Not knowing so much about this blogg, but I would guess that this man, after posting these photos, will not be so much of a friend anymore. If I was the Crown Prince I would have been very disappointed. I think that the royal family have a right to be private, especially since they are public figures, the private life is very important to protect (I know I'd go mad if I was in the spot light all the time, with small amount of private life).

Everytime I saw their picture in the news or on this site, they always hold hand. That's really lovely. Not alot of royal couple do that in the public.

Well then I think Haakon would be 75 inches and Mette Marit would be 71-72
