Mette-Marit looks very pretty, I love her dress and shoes! I wish I could see a close up of her jewels though. :)

When was the wedding? MM looks pregnant in the one picture -- was it before Sverre was born?

Thanks for these wonderful pictures, Larzen! :) I love the flowiness of Mette-Marit's outfit, from the sweep of the dress to the her scarf.
I often think that Mette-Marit dresses much better in private or personal occasions than she does for public ones. I think because her style is so laid back and relaxed, that it doesn't always transcend well in a professional setting. But when attending weddings or parties on her own, she has a very distinct sense of style that is very nice and fun.

Thanks for the scans Larzen. Mette-Marit's hair, make up and shoes seem appropriate for a wedding. But I have honestly never seen a casual turtleneck and scarf worn with a formal skirt..

i don't like hwat she was wearing. not appropriate for a wedding. she's got a real big tummy. i think, with all respect, being such a public figure she should take more care of her appearence and maybe flatten a bit her tummy. i am not saying that she needs to start looking like a broomstick, far from that. my favourite is amxima who looks good at all points without looking too thin. probably that way she'll stope wearing black and when she wears white it will look good on her.

Mette Marit just had a Baby not too long ago and it was her 3rd pregnancy so I`m not surprised that she still has a little pouch. I would be happy if my figure would be like hers after my 3rd child my pouch is much biger

i have all respect for a 3rd time mummy. and i agree with you. i hope to have her legs after my third baby. what i mean is that genrally speaking she seems to have 'relaxed' in the sense that she is not taking care of her public appearence. a princess is not just outfits and hats i know, but she's one of the main represenatives of her country (at least for me) so i think she should take a little more care of herself. after all she's a princess.

This wasn't a public appearence. It was a private wedding of friends.

True. But a princess must be aware that a private wedding of friends turns into a public appearance as soon as photographers are present (which they will be).

Like you said a princess is more then outfits and hats. I think Mette-Marit is showing that by her work with UNAIDS for example. Mette-Marit may not be that worried about getting a six pack stomach. Does having a little bit of a belly prevent her from being a great representative for Norway?

No because her actions should be more important than her appearence.

After all the children she has had by Haakon and her previous lover of course she is not going to have a perfect shape, but she has a beautiful face and now that she is at the top of the social ladder her physical appearance isn't as important as it once was. From the photos I have seen of her she has learned to be a photogenic princess who knows how to put her best foot forward and I say more power to her!
