Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit received a personal and musical gift from her husband Crown Prince Haakon on her 30th birthday on Tuesday night.
The royal family celebrated the birthday on board the royal ship "Norge" , according to magazine Se og Hør.
The King and Queen were hosting the party and Mette-Marit's son Marius, Princess Martha Louise, her husband Ari Behn and their baby daughter Maud Angelica were invited to dinner along with Mette-Marit's mother Marit Tjessem and Mette-Marit's brother Per Høiby with his wife Wenche.
Marit Tjessem spent parts of the day in curt where her son Espen Høiby is charged with assaulting his ex girlfriend.
Received "personal CD"
"It has been a lovely day", said the Crown Princess as she entered the ship to attend the party.
According to NTB, the Crown Princess received a homemade CD from her husband, reportedly a CD the Crown Prince had made himself.
"It is some music", said the Crown Prince modestly.
"The gift is home made and personal", said the Queen.
More celebrations
The party on Tuesday is not the only celebration in connection with the Crown Princess's birthday. There will be a Christian service on the royal chapel followed by a dinner on one of the royal properties, according to the press office at the palace.
Thanks for the pictures Mandy! I noticed that Marius has been mentioned as being in attendance at his mom's birthday but I have not seen any pictures of him yet. Wonder what Marius made for his mom?

Forgot her birthday, again!
For the second year Mette-Marit's old school forgot to flag for their famous pupil.

KRISTIANSAND (Dagbladet):
- *Embarrassing, says principal Arnt Jørgen Eidsaa at Fiskå School in Kristiansand.
- Extremely embarrassing, because it's exactly her birthday.
He's in the same boat as Dad, Sven O. Høiby, who live in the appartment building closest to Fiskå school. He didn't flag for Mette-Marit yesterday, either.
- I promise, I'll do better next year, the principal proclaims.
That piece of homework was done properly by Mette-Marit's elementary school, Slettheia, this year. Starting school, the pupils were greeted by flags.
