Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway stayed home in Oslo with daughter Princess Ingrid Alexandra, while Crown Prince Haakon atttended the wedding of Beltran Gomez-Acebo and Laura Ponte in Spain. Last Sunday, she took a walk in the woods north west of Oslo together with friends Linda Taarnevik (Mette-Marit's maid of honor), Morten Andreassen and his wife Anita Sjong. Here, they are relaxing at the cafe Frognerseteren after the walking trip.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit celebrated her sisters 40th birthday in Kristiansand - birthdayparty in Gucci outfit and high heels . Crown Princess Mette-Marit (30) has always been very close to her sister Kristin Hoiby Bjornoy. Last weekend she celebrated her 40th birthday - and Mette-Marit was present. Crown Prince Haakon (30), Marius (7) and Ingrid Alexandra were also present. Pictured: Crown Princess Mette-Marit had made a strawberry cake for her sister. Her mother, Marit Tjessem, helps carrying the cake.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit was in a hurry when she parked on the corner of Bygdöy allè and Thomas Heftyes gate in Oslo. According to Norwegian traffic regulations, the car should never be parked closer than 5 meters from a street corner. According to Dagbladet, Mette-Marit was busy buying children's clothes for the Christening next Saturday.

Crowprincess Mette-Marit was out walking with princess Ingrid Alexandra at Skaugum. The man pushing Ingrid Alexandra, Björn Kjesbu is Crownprince Haakon's "reserve" dad. His wife Berit Tversland has been working as the royal family's secretary for many years, and was the person who looked after Haakon and Märtha when the king and queen was abroad. Björn used to work at the royal body guard before he was retired. It was during the work for the royal family they met and got married. They have lived at Skaugum since then.

I have never heard about Prince Sverre Magnus being sick and in hosptal, do you know how he was sick?

I don't remember exactly, but I found thee articles about it. He was two times in the hospital (poor kid, poor MM - she seems so tired and sad on the pictures, what I posted...)

Those who have a Bunad usually use it for christenings. At least where I come from (middle part)

ok I should just have read the text under the photo which says:
"Shot for a magazine article earlier this year, so I made space for a title and some introductory text on the image itself. In print the article was shortened considerably from what it was originally supposed to be, so they ended up using a crop of one of the images I took instead of a near full-page version.
Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes - it was an interesting thing to do anyway :)"

There is an 'official' photo of then Mette-Marit Hoiby in a school magazine ("Russ 94") from 1994 in this blog entry Russ -94, med Mette Marit ;-) (En må følge livets bølge)
The blogger says she was in the same school but in different classes, they had mutual friends and hang out in the cafeteria together during free time or lunch at school. She says she was very nice then, but she doesn't know her now.
