Today, December 1, Queen Mathilde virtually participated in a high-level session of the European Health Summit devoted to mental health:

The COVID pandemic has acted as a wake-up call. It has unlocked a vibrant conversation about the importance of mental health and wellbeing

Queen Mathilde had a meeting with bestselling author Bart Van Loo

A very well deserved honour for Bart van Loo. His master piece about the Dukes of Burgundy was and still is a great succes - going to its 22nd print. It has now been translated into French and German and there are plans for an English and an Italian translation.

I wonder if the Queen is in the Official part of the Castle on Laeken ?
 
Its a really beautiful room, the furnishings ,fireplace and a festive poinsettia.
 
During the last days Queen Mathilde talked to students from different Belgian universities to "encourage the start of the study period and their exams":

Today, December 15, Queen Mathilde visited the Sans Souci Psychiatric Hospital in Jette. A Christmas concert was offered by the musicians of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel to patients and clinic staff:

Queen Mathilde held virtual talks with David Beasley, Executive Director of the World Food Programme, Prof. Olivier De Schutter, Co-chair of IPESFood and Achim Steiner Administrator of UNDP „about the consequences of the pandemic on food safety and the transformation of agricultural and food systems. The talks took place in the run-up to the UN Food Systems Summit that will take place in New York in fall 2021“:
