When supermarket heir and farmer Jason Kanabus succumbed to cancer at the tragically young age of 30, his dying wish was that his £2.5 million family inheritance should be given to the Prince's Trust to help young would-be farmers who, unlike himself, did not have a wealthy background.

but what a pity that it seems to not be working out Perhaps the Prince's trust should try harder.

The Prince's trust should not be expected to change the people it helps, IMO. Everyone knows the trust helps youngsters who are unemployed or ex offenders.

It is very sad but perhaps Annabel should have realised this and advised her son accordingly. It would be tantamount to a person leaving money to Heart UK with the caveat that the money is to be used to buy exercise equipment for the obese.

I do not know. I think they could bend the rules to accomodate in this case. They can also evolve a bit, according to the chances that are presented.

The worry there, for me, would be what if the next person only wants the money to help white unemployed youngsters or not to help offenders, it could become the thin edge of the wedge.

They are asking the charity to set up a separate fund, do we then get to the stage where the donations from wealthy people are given 'with conditions' only to a certain group?

I would not worry about future eventual cases (that is what I would do, not a suggestion) imo a waste of time

I suppose the Trust could not accept an inheretance if they felt they could not live up to the wishes of the deceased. Helping farmers who are having a difficult time would seem appealing, they could perhaps stipulate that farmers would be helped if they went green. But it is a complicated matter about which I know very little, so I am just rambling on

(thx btw for the pictures of the wobbles, really nice of you to post them )

Talking

A NECKLACE inspired by the vampire Count Dracula has been presented to the Duchess of Cornwall by artist Vanessa Scully.

The necklace is probably designed to protect against vampire bites.

The link worked for me. I'm now waiting for the "Bride of Dracula" jokes about Camilla.

Still works here Russo, it must be you. From the article
Quote:
“I told Prince Charles about my new jewellery label,” she said.

“I had prepared a gift for Camilla from my new collection inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

“He called out to Camilla, ‘Darling, darling come and see what I have got for you.’

“It was a very special moment for me.”

Vanessa later received a letter at her workshop in Bethal Green signed by the Duchess, personally thanking her for the ‘Dracula’ gift.
I hope this link works for you -

Britain's Duchess of Cornwall has been given a necklace to protect against vampire bites. Camilla - the wife of Prince Charles - was given a gift by artist Vanessa Scully when she represented The Prince's Trust at a Buckingham Palace garden party to launch a new youth scheme
