Such a worthwhile cause, good to see Camilla champion it.

I agree. She's very keen on supporting survivors of domestic abuse & it was to her credit that she started championing them & highlighting the issue when a lot of people were uncomfortable discussing it publicly.

Through my work, I have talked to many women who have lived with coercive control and domestic violence and, thankfully, come out at the other end as the victors not the victims. They are some of the bravest people I have ever met. Their stories are harrowing and have reduced even the toughest of their listeners to tears. That is why it is so vital that these survivors should no longer feel any shame or any blame.

Thanks.

Camilla articulates the complexity of domestic violence well and points to it's surprising prevalence in all spheres of our society. It's a great call to us all to hear and recognise people who are living with less freedom and respect. And to search for solutions. It also educates on the new laws about coercive control.

The slogan "#everyonesproblem" reflects how it needs widespread action.
I like the way Camilla applauds her hard working women colleagues in the organization. Camilla always speaks with ease but this is one of her best speeches.

To rid the World of domestic violence would fix a multitude of other problems.

Camilla has taken on a very hard subject and she has handled it amazing. Domestic violence and violence against women need to be spoken about more. There is too much secrecy and shame. Her speech was great.

It’s a shame due to her marriage and not being the young fashionista royals that she doesn’t get the coverage any other fitted queen consort would. Her work in domestic violence as well as things like literacy deserve more attention.

Due to a range of people and instances alerting us to the insidious and horrific nature of domestic violence I think it is definately overcoming secrecy. It is talked about more thanks to people like Camilla who take on the cause. Workplaces are now ogliged to give leave for domestic violence etc.

We have to perfect the way we bring up boys. Young men need to recognise violent aggression as dangerous and find respectful ways of expressing themselves.
It's a very grass roots problem - we need solutions from the cradle.
From men and women #everyonesproblem. They thought up a great slogan.

"The Duchess is Patron of @TheSilverLineUK, a charity that operates a 24-hour helpline for older people to call if they are lonely or in need of support.

The Duchess of Cornwall has chatted with 90-year-old Betty from Hampshire to see how she was coping at this difficult time. Dame Esther Rantzen, founder of @TheSilverLineUK, also joined the call."

I think the Silver Line was a brilliant idea and they've had over two years to knock the kinks out. It seems the Founder was almost prescient and Camilla signing on as Patron was definitely a bonus.

People who are "Shut Ins" actually come in all ages and are the template for the NHS Volunteer Responders "check in and chat" phone service.

It's great to see both Charles and Camilla setting a good example of "Sheltering In Place" but still as busy as they ever were.

Great to see Camilla become involved. The Silver Swann program is a great tie in to her work with Osteoperosis which is one of her big passions. The program encourages seniors to get involved in dance for health purposes including the strengthening of bone.

The queen has been patron of the academy since 1953. She took it over after the death of her grandmother Queen Mary. It is fitting that now Camilla is starting to become involved as patron.
