The Duchess met English writer Sir Philip Pullman during the visit to Bodleian Library today.

Today The Duchess of Cornwall, joined by author @PhilipPullmanOfficial, visited @bodleianlibs’s new exhibition, ‘Melancholy: A New Anatomy’, and saw some of the incredible items housed in the library.

During the visit The Duchess met staff, students and organisers of the upcoming Oxford Literary Festival, which is due to take place in the spring.

The Duchess of Cornwall also visited the Bodleian Library’s Conservation Studio, where specialists work carefully to restore antique books and preserve the objects in the collection for current and future generations.

The Duchess of Cornwall has joined Dame Mary Berry to announce the winning recipe of the competition to design a Platinum Pudding dedicated to Queen Elizabeth's jubilee. The results will be unveiled during a BBC One programme entitled "The Jubilee Pudding: 70 Years in the Baking" on May 12, 8 PM:
