Hope Union Station, Kansas has as many people viewing the exhibit that Grand Rapids, Michigan had. It was truly wonderful going and remembering Diana, Princess of Wales. I hope a good restaurant near the exhibit bakes wedding cake for people to buy. It was very successful in GR.

I've seen the Diana exhibit which has been traveling across the United States. There are family movies taken of the family starting out shortly after Princess Diana was born. When her parents walked out of the church, I noticed that Princess Diana father had a very strong resemblance to her brother. Never really noticed this until I saw the family movies.
Many of those in the British nobility can trace their royal ancestry to women (primarily those who were royal mistresses). Since many of these children later married others who had similiar backgrounds (they often married other nobles rather than royals), it's not really surprising that people like Princess Diana had more royal blood than the royals. The royal blood line was kept in the family by these marriages. I would also bet that this is true in other countries as well.

It does seem to be true - and even in America, the descendants of nobility at Jamestown tended to marry within their social class, so that both Lady Diana and I are descended from more than one common ancestor and related to several U.S. Presidents (two are my great-great-great-great-grand uncles).

The traveling exhibition
The exhibition of Diana's wedding gown, tiara, and other gowns and memorabilia will be in Connecticut soon! Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket will host the display from September 16, 2011, til January 15, 2012. I believe the tickets are $20-25, and are available from Ticketmaster and foxwoodsresort.com. Hope to see some of you there.

Diana: A Celebration:
Diana a Celebration Tour Dates | Princess Diana Exhibit Schedule
I wonder why Earl Spencer and other officials of this exhibition haven't made a tour of the major US cities that we know will attrack a great deal of people? Places like New York, Chicago and California.
Why these malls? Which I think isn't appropropriate for someone of Diana's status. This exhibition is about the late Princess of Wales, Once future Queen of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.

I don't know, I'm thinking they would make more money for her charities if it toured the major cities, which would be a big event. The Exhibition would get a great deal of publicity and I think the people would flock to these events.
I think the Jacqueline Kennedy Exhibition did very well in the big US cities.

Good grief, she has been dead for more than 15 years and they are still dragging her bits and pieces across middle America. I am surprised they are not selling package trips to Althrop "Come sleep in Dianas childhood bedroom, only 2000 pounds a night ; view the island where she is buried for only 1500 extra". Let the poor woman rest in peace.

The Diana exhibit is at West Edmonton Mall right now. Looks amazing, can't wait to check it out. I think it will do well.

I still think the Exhibition should've hit the major US cities; New York, Washington, Chicago and Los Angeles.

I'd have liked to have seen this exhibit, but it was never close enough to where I live. The note about her sitting next to Prince Charles at Princess Margaret's 50th Birthday Party was poignant. Lady Jane Wellesley was apparently on his other side.

I still think the exhibit should've toured New York, Washington D.C., Chicago and California.

I think that the closest it ever came to me was Toronto, which is over a day's drive from where I live.
