Also, who is the baby Diana is holding in post 939?

That picture was taken in 1986, judging by Diana's general appearance. Although Diana didn't wear really short skirts or show cleavage before the separation, she did wear off-the-shoulder dresses. She wore that dress on an official tour of Portugal in 1987.

I think that it's the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara. Diana wore only that one and the Spencer tiara. It looks different because of the lighting and the angle from which it was taken.

Well I believe it was taken at her fathers funeral, so perhaps the makeup is a bit smudged from crying.

That could be, yes. I've noticed a connection between Diana's eyeliner and emotional upset on other occasions. It's possible that the make-up smudged when she was teary and also that she wore it to cover when her eyes are reddish.

I think you are right. But let us agree on one thing; NEVER EVER let blue eyeliner get back into fashion again

Yes, or heavy black eye-liner with bleached blonde hair. I think that blue eyeliner was out of style when Diana wore it to her father's funeral.

I just had to laugh when I read all these posts about Diana's propensity for bright blue eyeliner for quite a number of years. It was awful! I read that she learned this from Elizabeth Taylor and she meant it to intensify the blue of her eyes. Barbara Daly, her makeup artist at the time, spoke once about how she would "do" Diana's face (she was also teaching the Princess to do it for herself) without the blue eyeliner and then go downstairs to wait for the Princess before she left. Time and again, Diana would come down sheepishly and tell Ms. Daly, "Sorry, but I've done it again!". Apparently, it was a running joke between them.
Please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was after the first photo-shoot, when Sam McKnight cut her hair short (1990) and Mary Greenwell did her makeup (I believe the Princess was posing for Vogue) that Diana finally stopped the bright blue liner and switched to earthier tones. The pictures from that shoot, especially those in the black turtleneck, ironically show her eyes looked much bluer with the earthy colours rather than with the blue, IMHO of course.
