Yes, that's a good place. However, you'll have to fight Lauren over that.

She can have the one turret at the entrance, and I can have the other .... privacy (yuh know).

Ernst is from the Royal House of Hannover, but he is also a prince of Great Britain and Ireland... Hannover is a city in Germany now, it used to be a Kingdom before Prussia took it over, but it is in Germany now.

Great pictures, kittencrews, thanks a lot for them!
But isn't the castle called Marienburg not Marienberg?

Ha ha... yes it is Marienburg!! My bad...
He is prince of Great Britain and Ireland because he is direct descendant of King George III the throne's of England and Hannover were once combined then in the 1800's Salic law in England allowed Queen Victoria to take the throne but it didn't change for Hannover so they still had a male heir.
The law in Hannover is still the first born male that is why is older sister Maria is not the head of the house.
It's said that he has more royal blood than Charles... ha ha

I watched last night in DW-TV ,a German channel, their show called euromaxx.
It has a report on Princess Caroline regarding living back in Monaco. One reason cited was to be closer to her family especially her father and it was mentioned there regarding relationships. Maybe settle something.
She was able to buy a house along the bay with 15 rooms. It was once owned or I think it was recommended by Karl Lagerfeld who is close friend of the princess. The house is very beautiful. It overlooks the ocean and its color is white.

Yes it is, she bought La Vigie about a month ago and she's going to live there. There's something I noticed and called my attention, Paris Match and Hola said she decided to move so that she could be closer to her family after spending a lot of time living in Germany, but I've always thought she lived in Fontainebleau. At least this is where Charlotte and Pierre live, and I thought Caroline lived with them in France...

If I interpret the text under the picture correctly, she has sold this house?
... I don't 'see' how she would be lacking the brains (nor having need for cash flow) to sublet the house when she's not in town? Or, is it in Monaco ... a "posh" thing to do .... to 'see' how much foolish tourists are willing to pay?

I'm sorry if I'm saying here something false or inaccurate, but I read quite a few years ago, that La Vigie has always been owned by the Grimaldis, and that Caroline had just lent/rented it to Lagerfeld for a 99years period, but that eventually he left Monaco and gave the villa back.
My hypothesis is that Caroline is not moving from Clos St Pierre (and why should she? Her home is wonderful as well) and that these rumors just started because she's apparently organizing a party for her daughter...my opinion is due to the fact that in the last four or five years I've read in various mags that Caroline was moving to LaVigie at least three or four times; mind you, this time it might well be true, but I'm becoming quite suspicious :P
BTW, I've been to Monaco and I can tell you that LaVigie is one of the finest estates I've ever seen so if she's really moving in, I can just say "Good move!"
Kisses everyone

The Royal House is Welf/Guelph. Hannover is/was the territory.
Charles is a full royal. There can only be full royals, so there is no matter of blood.
Ernst's family was officially deprived of the British titles by the reigning and recognized dynasty in Great Britain and Ireland.

Caroline doesn't live in Clos St Pierre, she lives in Manoir du Mée, in Mée sur Seine, near Fontainebleau. In the link below you can see a special from Hola magazine about Caroline and Ernst's homes. It's in Spanish but I find it really interesting.
