Pierre Casiraghi, Beatrice & Family Current Events Part 18: August 2018 - August 2023

Pierre has gone from sort of the ugly duckling to the real star of the Casiraghi and I am not only talking about just his looks.;)

He is brave, exceedingly handsome, has a gorgeous aristocratic wife, and children that look like angels, and he does useful things like this.

A Prince in all but name.?

I 100% agree… As for being a real prince… we never know ahat future brings us. P. Albert can very well make princes and princesses out of his nieces and nephews… Who knows???

:previous: I totally agree that Albert would do so in a second..but I don't think Pierre would accept-or maybe he will down the line.

But Andrea and Charlotte? No way!:ermm:

Pierre is handsome and a good person as his parents. He is a true charming prince.

He is very charming and he married well too. I love that this undertaking is highlighting his capabilities.

Activist Greta Thunberg had announced that she wanted to travel with a racing yacht as climate-neutral as possible to the summit in New York. But now it is known how the boat should come back.
Skipper Boris Herrmann and Pierre Casiraghi will fly back home from USA to Europe. "Boris and Pierre have adapted this trip to a very tight schedule at very short notice. They would first have to rest and then sail back, which their schedule does not allow."
There will be now at least seven flights. If Greta and her father had simply flown to New York themselves, it would have been four.
According to Herrmann, Thunberg chose the "cleanest, most environmentally friendly option" for the Atlantic trip. But that is not the case in this case. Alone the hype surrounding their departure has certainly caused more CO2 than a simple flight. Dozens of volunteers, journalists and PR experts had pilgrimaged to the harbor in Plymouth - and certainly not the full stretch.
In New York now beckons again a media hype, before Herrmann hands over his boat to the flown helpers and even back on the plane back home. The climate activist certainly gets more attention for her project with her journey in the racing yacht than if she had just taken a freighter. But the message is fatal: as long as the show is good, the real consequences for the climate don't matter. Well meant sometimes leads to the opposite of good.

This trip by Malizia 2 is a small great example for pushing nautical industries to promote search for zero CO2 emissions. In the future may be will be possible travell to New York and come back zero CO2 emissions. That's the meaning of this trip.

It makes sense. It's clear that Greta wants to make a statement and stand by her principles but in doing so, she is causing more air-traffic than would have happened had she travelled by plane herself. Quite contradictory.

Greta Thunberg traveling by commercial aircraft to the US would not have attracted the same level of interest as Greta Thunberg traveling by yacht with Princess Grace's grandson.

Do we know when Malizia will arrive at New York.

Bravo Pierre!

Beatrice, Caroline and Albert must be incredibly proud of him...:flowers:

Here's a video and interview taken on board:

When Pierre will come back from New York? Will he travel with Malizia again?
