Thanks for the great pics, rerehh!

Here are some more, poor Martina Hingis has fallen down from her horse:

Martina Hingis competes in eventing? I've never heard that before.
Anyway, thanks for the pics and info rerehh and iceflower! Charlotte looks beautiful as usual :flowers: A total clone of her mother.

On a side note, and this has probably already been posted before, but does anyone know what breed Tintero and Turbo are? :)

Not to go off topic, but I had NO idea the former tennis champ was also an equestrienne?! She's tall, so she needs a tall horse - good for her!

Martina Higgins has many times said that when she was a child she had a passion for horses, but her mother who had always managed her career for the profit has obliged her to stop riding and to put all her attention to tennis, because she detected taht this orientation would be more rewarding. For Martina it has always been a sorrow, and she said that ONE day she will come back to horses. I'm happy for her.

As regards Charlotte, I'm happy that she went back to her real passion, but i'm wondering all these years she stopped compeeting did not put her in delay?? I mean when you are a swimmer and you stop, you can not really have back your previous level.
Question for riding specialists... Thanks.

And as the saying goes:The details make the difference, CasiraghiTrio

What's the difference between the red riding outfit from he blue that Char is wearing?

Martina is doing very well this morning. In the 1m15 jump she got third place.

Azure, when does Charlotte wear red?

No, she didn't! But a rider was wearing red, who had fallen from her horse. I mean, is there any difference to wear either red or blue ?
I don't think she dyed her hair Nathalie Cox. It may be the lighting that makes it seem darker. But who knows!

In the first picture, her horse (GI Joe?) appears to be balking  and possibly refusing to take a jump (she'll earn penalty faults for that type of refusal):bang: I guess the only way to know is if there is video footage showing what happened...

She seems to be doing much better with Tintero at 1.25 m, first 7th and now an 11th verses the results with GI Joe. Maybe its time to move up.

I don't think there is a difference except personal preference. I know the riders buy their own gear and uniforms, and sometimes the jacket is made with the logo of a sponsor, like Athina used to wear the EH logo for European Horses (Thierry Roussel's breeding company) and Char used to have the M logo for Chez Marionnaud. But I don't think the color has any special significance. Martina wore the red jacket, right?

You are right. She has definitely been set back a bit. She has had to start over with the little jumps. In 2004, her last year before the hiatus, she was doing 1m35 jumps but now she is set back to doing 1m15-25 jumps.

Yes CasiraghiTrio! Martina was wearing the red outfit.
Thanks!

I would like to see Char in the red riding outfit, it looks chic in either color. And she has DEFINITELY dyed her hair now that I look at the zimbio and abaca pics. I thought it might be the lighting, because her hair is dark but it's never been black.

Maybe she has just put some jelly or something? Or it is the lighting because her face looks a bit whiter. And the others faces of course.
But maybe she has dyed her hair, yes. It would be very interesting to see her in more clear picture from a different event with her darker hair!

She looks gorgeous there. And, for me, she dyed her hair. There's not too much light in those pics and her hair still looks darker.

I'm with you Nathalie. All I can say is thank goodness she didn't go blonde. Cuz that would've been a disaster. She looks pretty in those pics with Alex. :flowers:

Gorgeous! I adore her shoes and the jacket! She looks really chic and happy especially in those zimbio pics. I'm glad she got back into horse jumping.

She's definitively died her hair black - but has retained enough brown hue so as not make it look "vampire-ish" - I'm not crazy about it, but as always, she pulls it off!

I love Charlotte, but, God, that posture!
Alex doesn't smile a bit. He is too serious (there)

I have a curiosity about GI Joe's owner. In Charlotte's results for GCT Valencia last year, May, Joe's owner is listed as Alexia Rossi. I believe this "Alexia" is suppose to be Alessia, the Italian jumping rider. Is she also a footballer's wife? IS it her walking with Char to the luncheon or whatever in Valencia?

Here is a video of Charlotte from a jumping event.I'm apologizing for posting it here but the ''Video Links'' thread is closed.

Carlota Casiraghi no se priva de comer Pasta

thanks to Cath85 from The Fashion Spot.

I love this video! It's amusing to me to impose my own idea of what is going on. Athina is walking around the course, checking the jumps and doing her mental calculations of the heights and distance. Charlotte walks around listening to Thierry, whose doing all the calculations and telling her what to do, then they call over Jan Tops to get his 2 cents! ;) Athina is so self-sufficient. She's like, why do I need Jan Tops' input? I'm Just being silly......

thanks, kastalia. :flowers:

Charlotte did compete in Villeneuve yesterday. I don't know where there might be pics. I'm not Iceflower, the master of producing pics. :p All I can provide is the link to see the results: VLT 2010 Results | Horse timing
That's the results for all of this week, which is Week 2 of 3.

Char participated in events yesterday. She did really well, I think so, in this one: http://www.horse-timing.com/web/Chrono/data/VLT10/week2/r_D_vlt_w2.pdf
She did best with GI Joe in terms of her rank and earned 2 points with a time of 85.79, but on Tintero she earned 4 points with a time of 72.92

So with GI Joe she had a slower time and less points. Why was her rank higher? With Tintero she was faster and had more points.
