I haven't watched the episode of Ellen but I don't understand why Meghan and Harry release photos of Archie from behind. It seems passive-aggressive to me. He is a child and has a right to privacy but if they truly don't want to invade his privacy, don't release any photos.

I was not a fan of the prank, but in the early part of the skit / prank, I thought Meghan had good comedic delivery.
Meghan's older brother appears to have strawberry blond hair. Since red hair is a rare recessive trait, it can lurk in a family's gene pool and appear in ways that seem idiosyncratic.

Archie's hair does not appear to be as bright as his dad's coppery hair, more like a more muted auburn.

Some people are funny about their kid's photos being public. My sister is not at all famous but she's picky about who can see her kid's faces on line. And I've often seen people post photos of their kids from behind, or with their faces digitally covered.

Why shouldn't they release pictures? People aren't entitled to see their faces. Why does it matter? Frankly I understand why they don't want to subject their kids to potential attacks because people dislike their parents.

It is a cute picture. It was nice to see him since we all know how rare it is.

I understand why people don't want to post pictures of their child's face, but I don't understand why they bother posting at all.

Because that's what they feel comfortable posting.

Absolutely - we enjoy this on 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here', but not from a member of the Royal Family. She doesn't seem able to distinguish the two.

How I meant it is IF it's true that a member of BRF made the unborn child's complexion an issue , his/her racist worrying should be put to rest.

Because of everything I read about the Oprah interview, that statement is what revolted me as much as Meghan's allegation that she was denied counseling outright.

Which I no longer believe btw.

If the worst she does from now on is clown around on talk shows without slandering anyone, I'm fine with that. I don't think it meshes very well with her stated goal of avoiding media attention and preserving her children's privacy, but those things really only affect her own life, and aren't hurting anyone else either way.

Just a reminder that Prince Andrew was friends with the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Prince Andrew is accused of sexually abusing underage girls. His legal fees are being paid for by the Queen.

Who is more "degrading" to the Monarchy? The accused sex offender or a former actress?

This nicely sums up how I feel also. However they choose to go forward from here is their own decisions. They have to succeed on their own merits regardless of whether or not they're considered "royal". They are now classified as "celebrities" mostly and those circles are where you're going to find these two if you choose to want to know what they're up to.

I just want the connections still being made to the family Harry left behind to die down if not out. Harry and Meghan are no longer in any way to have an impact on the monarchy of the UK and it's family institution known as the "Firm".

Yes, he's a disgrace and is damaging the Monarchy massively, as is the Queen's overt support of him. Who's arguing with that?

The timeliness of Meghan's appearance on the show, billed as a sudden surprise, and the silly hijinks she engaged in on the program were effective in knocking the "I forgot"/perjury stories to the back burner. That's some nifty PR footwork.

I sympathize with Charles and Camilla whose carefully planned trip to Jordan and Egypt has been overshadowed by Meghan's Ellen appearance.

... Meghan has been caught lying at court and now, when it's too late, she's showing that she can actually adhere to the "Never complain, never explain" rule.

I find her appearance at Ellen rather bold (not to say a stronger word) for someone who was so very hurt that evil tabloids claimed she made her postpartum SIL cry. That couldn't be borne and she needed to say her own truth... but when she's caught lying to court, she makes herself the court jester and all is fine and well?

I don't think so. ...

BTW, I found that remark about having one kid being a hobby and two being parenting that she so revers in very bad taste and extremely unfunny.

Who in their right mind doesn't know that having a second means adjustment for the first? And how does adjustment connect with this bad joke about hobby and parenting?

Funny thing is, in most families I know, first child is the one parented hardest. With the next ones, you already know they won't die from screaming if you don't come out of the shower, shampoo running down your back, as soon as they wake up.

And in light of the recent commentary, this thread will see a premature closure.
