Well surely this will be discussed with the bride and groom beforehand. And let's remember that at a private event like a society wedding, there will be professional photographers there, not the Daily Mail/Sun papparazzi, so there's no fear of having the moment taken away from the bride and groom.

However, according to Meghan's co-star Patrick Adams, Meghan did not attend his wedding late last year because of the breaking news that she was dating Harry and she didn't want to cause a disruption. So I think she has proven that she's emotionally intelligent and sensitive enough to steer clear of events where she would bring too much chaos and attention.

We'll see what happens.

IMO they should make their debut at a more impersonal event, let the press have their pictures, and the novelty will wear off soon enough.

I have no doubt that the tabs will be there if they think Meghan & Harry are attending the wedding together. Of course the couple will have their own photographer(s) to record their special day, but I would not have wanted paps lurking around my wedding.

And yes, you are absolutely right that Harry will have surely discussed with his friends beforehand. I do hope that if the bride & groom would prefer not to have to deal with something that may affect their other guests negatively that they will be honest with Harry and not feel obligated to comply because Harry is a prince.

Looks like the Sun is offering a mea culpa so they can cover the wedding.

To take this woman's professional work on a popular TV show and associate it with a porn site is pathetic. I'm glad they apologized, but, is it too late?

The timing is interesting. I'm assuming lawyers have been involved since the beginning of this madness, before Harry's statement. Based on this, I'm guessing there has been legal things happening in the background? I'm not sure how the IPSO and the British legal system work. Could they have been tied up in proceedings behind the scene this whole time without the public knowing? I highly doubt The Sun issued that out of the goodness of their heart.
 
Meghan is getting some type of serious treatment if they are apologizing for a story from November .Does this mean they threatened to sue unless an apology was issued.Sounds like they are preparing Meghan for something? I have never seen an apology to another Royal GF,am I right?
 
I'm glad the Sun has been forced to issue an apology. The offending piece was from late last year I believe when British tabs were in full 'let's dig up as much dirt as we can' mode with reference to Meghan. The revolting Sun inferred that because a dodgy risqué website had grabbed some bedroom scenes from Suits that Meghan was, by inference, 'a porn star'!

No wonder the couple felt angry about it and it's good that KP followed through. Too many lies have been printed about this relationship. These and other articles are no doubt what KP referred to in the November statement about daily legal battles. It's not unusual, I believe, for things to be held up for some time when the tabloid concerned stands on the 'in the public interest' platform in defending itself.

I mean we know she's getting serious treatment just by Harry's statement. That was unprecedented. And there was never a doubt in my mind that his lawyers will continue to fight the legal battles if necessary. I think aside from the seriousness of her relationship with Harry, it was intentional to tarnish Meghan's reputation on The Sun's part. They know she's not a porn star, and they know Suits isn't porn. They know exactly what those scenes are, and it's not porn. Yet they chose to use that headline.

As for no apology to other royal girlfriends, I don't believe any of them were said to be in porn before.
 
I'm glad Meghan is getting apologies, even if it's this late. There must be something happening bts though, for Sun to apologise now.
 
Hi, I've been lurking here for awhile, thought I'd join in the conversation.

I'm glad the Sun has to issue an apology for their vulgar and misleading article. It also makes me wonder if the Sun posted the Suits clips to the website and then wrote about too?

I hope that the Sun and Daily Fail will have to issue apologies for a lot more of the untrue and misleading things that have been written. They have maliciously written rubbish to grab headlines and create unnecessary animosity towards Meghan and Harry.

Although it seems a long time ago, in legal terms it isn't. The usual process is for the complainant (Meghan) to issue a request for apology via her lawyer. This will have to take more than one attempt - in order to prove that the newspaper is not accepting her "case". Her lawyer will have to have shown how the paper was wrong. If the paper does not respond, then the case can go to IPSO.

Lawyers writing - to and fro - takes a long time.

I think in this instance, the case put by Meghan's lawyer has brought about the apology. If it was via IPSO, that would be mentioned and they would also have published their findings and the apology.

It would have been Meghan asking for the apology, although they do mention Harry.

It's Meghan's lawyer but I think Prince Harry is the power force behind this apology and more to come!!

I'm very glad Meghan is getting this apology from The Sun. It was foolish and just down right wrong for anyone to even think this very accomplished young lady would do such a thing. Also, to use her scenes from 'Suits' on a porn site was very low and dirty.

I hope everyone online who believed this nonsense see this apology too.
 
Why did they wait so late to issue it though.It sounds like they did not want to and waited until it was really late to release an apology.All this time I thought DM was the biggest problem for Harry and Meghan but maybe it was The Sun all along.
 
They waited this long because they didn't want to. They obviously were forced legally to. If they actually meant thrine apology genuinely, would have been issued long ago.

But happy it has been done. To compare Meghan to a porn star was ridiculous. And not only the people who posted it on the site, were in the wrong. Sadly there are many people who the apology won't help. Their kids have been turned.
 
It was ridiculous to even suggest any links to porn, and I'm thinking Meghan pursued this apology and retraction to give a warning to the tabloids too. She's not afraid to pursue action if her character is defamed. Starting from the firm statement from KP, now this apology, Meghan and Harry aren't playing games.
 
Well, if you're like me, you will tweet and/or post the link to this apology on your facebook to share with as many people as possible. It's ridiculous that they post this apology at 12am GMT. Spread the word and share the link before it's buried in the morning edition.

The daily fail would have us believe they are omniscient. The stories are always along the same lines when comes to Charles. Charles is the cold distant father bent on destroying his ex wife's memory. And Camilla is the evil stepmother who William wouldn't allow near kph is kids as they know she is evil. The menace with the butcher knife.

Now the story is that the boys hate their dad, proof being they don't work for the princes trust or live at high grove. :bang: nothing about how you know high grove would be highly impractical for either boy to live at. Besides they aren't boys and adults don't live at home. There is no sign he is unhappy they have their own foundation, common enough with adult royaks, or that they are distant.
 
I'm glad she got the apology and that Harry supported her in this. That article headline was deliberately misleading and created a false representation of Meghan. Who knows how serious they are but if Harry wants the chance to date someone in peace to find out where it leads, having The Sun mislead the public into believing she was a porn star is very discouraging. Truth is and they know people dont READ the article and their impression is created by the headline.

Note to the tumblr sex negative police. Suits is a tame basic cable show, they don't even show nudity. An actress ACTING and doing love scenes is not a whore.

The point I think you've missed is that the Daily Mail is a completely un-credible source for information. The reporters there aren't actually reporting news so much as making **** up. Sometimes there might be a vein of truth, but not typically.

The article you've posted doesn't have a single verifiable fact in it. It's all based on rumours and sensationalization. It's actually a perfect example of why the Daily Mail is no longer allowed to be used a source on Wikipedia. You know a paper is ridiculous when Wikipedia doesn't consider it reliable enough.

I wonder what he got Meghan?

I am also curious about Harry's reaction or what it will be to American holidays like Thanksgiving? We don't eat the healthiest things on that day. But it is so good!! If they marry or get engaged, they'll probably fly to the US for that since it's not celebrated in the UK.

What Meghan should do is take Harry to Georgia and Tennessee where her mother is from and let him experience the south its food, and the accents! HAHAHA!! It will be major culture shock I'm sure.

It will always amaze me when people are so filled with hatred and will claim she has had surgery and a nose job but she looks exactly the same and its been 17 years! I really love her natural hair too...It looks so wavy and soft! Also,he Sun has really gone out of their way to track down anything they can find but I think they have learned not to mess with Meghan so hopefully they won't dig too deep and end up having to apologize again!

Not celebrated in the UK? :ermm: you don't think valentines is some American construct do you :lol:

Beyond the whole Saint valentine thing, the earliest examples of modern valentine traditions started in England and spread from there. This isn't done american concept Harry will just be introduced to.


As for thanksgiving, thohgh the name is not commonly used, you will find countries all over the world, celebrate a similar holiday. After all. Take out the pilgrims, it's simply a harvest festival. The U.K. Is like Canada, and celebrates much earlier. Thohgh they don't have a set date, usually around the harvest moon. I recall celebrating it in Wales.



As for the fail, the post comes from February 2015. Meghan has done a valentines post every year since she started the tig. That was her first, as the tig was started may 2014. 2016 she did a post on how to celebrate the holiday even if single. This year she just posted on makeup for the big date.
 
A friend in England collected greetings cards years ago and she had two absolutely beautiful home-made ones, one from around 1810, one in the early 1830's it was estimated. Valentine's Day is certainly celebrated throughout Britain and much of the Commonwealth. The newspapers here are always full of loving and sometimes quite cheesy Valentine's Day messages between lovers and spouses. I don't think we'll be reading any between Harry and Meghan, however!

1. Harry's been to Tennessee before

2. Harry's been literally all around the word. He's been throughout Europe and North America. He's been to South America, Australia, Africa, Asia. Heck, he's even been to both the North Pole and the South Pole. I'm going to make a guess that he's fairly used to adapting to different cultures.
