As for missing Beatrice, I don't think they are that concerned about her if they can get shots of the Cambridges and Harry. If the Big Three hadn't attended, photos of Beatrice would be plastered all over the DM.

Everyone's tolerance of publicity is different. Some people love the cameras while others, like Chelsy and Cressida, would prefer to live their lives in private--even if that means the media doesn't show up for their wedding.
This has gotten me thinking about what type of wedding Harry would have if he did marry Cressida. I think it is safe to assume Catherine and William's wedding was bigger than they would have wanted, but he is the heir to the heir. I know Harry is an extravert, but he would want Cressida (or whoever) to be comfortable.
The other issue is the cost. The Middleton's made a substantial donation to the cost of Catherine's wedding. I know Cressida's family is wealthy but, if Harry marries someone who is not really rich, the royal family may want to cut back on some of the "frills."

I think his wedding would probably take place at Windsor.

It would similar to what Edward and Sophie, Peter & Autumn and Mike & Zara had. No way does he get the Westminster Abbey treatment like his brother because he isn't a direct heir to the throne.

Andrew and Fergie had a big Westminster Abbey wedding and Andrew wasn't the direct heir. Edward and Sophie requested Windsor for their wedding. I think it could go either way.

I'm not sure about that - they are very well connected, but in very large families, money gets spread v thinly and almost never to the females.

Whilst I don't think Henry would want a Westminster Abbey wedding, I expect he is allowed to have one should he wish. Westminster isn't reserved for direct heirs you know.

I don't know why, but it wouldn't surprise me if Harry had a destination wedding. As the "spare", he probably won't and the wedding will be similar to Andrew and Sarah's, but I think that's what he would like. Maybe somewhere in Africa?

So did Princess Anne , Princess Margaret and Princess Alexandra. I would not be surprised if Harry married there as well.

Yes, that is true. As a son and a brother of two future Kings (and still number 4 in line of succession) I think he is allowed to have his wedding at Westminster Abbey. I think there would be a lot of interest in Harry (and Cressida's) wedding and I think Windsor would be too small for that.
Prince Harry's wedding will be the last 'big' Royal Wedding of his generation in the British Royal Family and I think it would come as quite a dissapointment to many people if Harry's wedding would be 'small'.

I was thinking the same thing, especially in the unlikely event that he were to marry Chelsy. Left to their own devices, I think William and Catherine would have had a destination wedding in Africa.
Harry is more outgoing and at ease in crowds than William. There is a lot of affection for Harry and my sense is that the British public would not mind if his wedding were a state occasion with all the trappings. I just get the feeling that Cressida wouldn't want a large state occasion. Windsor is smaller than Westminster, but it is still pretty big. There were more than 500+ guests at Sophie and Edward's wedding (my wedding was about 100 people).
I hope whomever Harry marries gets the wedding of her dreams. If it is Cressida, I think she'll have to compromise on what she wants, unfortunately.

Andrew had Westminster as second son. Why shouldn't Harry if wants it?

Plenty of ordinary people manage to get married at the Abbey, so there's no reason why Harry couldn't (or Beatrice and Eugenie, for that matter).
It probably wouldn't be a public holiday, though.

I'd like for Harry to have an Abbey wedding. If Prince George and his siblings follow the current trends, we won't have another heir's wedding for 30 years. I'll be in my 80s by then, assuming I'm still living.

I get your point about the heirs - but I do think the Yorks will give us decades of things to discuss when Beat and Eugenie tie their knots.

I recall seeing them at one wedding where the bride or groom were friends of hers from her Buckleberry pre William days and that's it. Even George's godparents were all from his circle. It's a bit odd I always think.

The estimated security cost for William's is 33 million dollars. That's why I think Harry's wedding would be smaller like Peter's and Zara's.

That is one issue and another is whether the wedding would be a national holiday, where the government and banks are closed. Harry is very popular in Great Britain, so although there would be detractors, I am not sure that most people will mind. Most people didn't mind the cost of William's wedding.
I think it will depend on the state of the economy and whether his bride is popular.

I thought that Emilia Jardine-Paterson was a school with Catherine
After being together c.13-14 years I think talking about "his" circle isn't accurate - by now its their circle of friends.

Emilia went to Marlborough with Kate but she also knew William.
