Ok.. Ok.. I usually don't take the media's word for anything usually when it comes to rumors and speculations about any kind of relationships but this one kind of has me stymied as from what I've heard, Tatler is a well established magazine and usually not one for idle gossip. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong here.

Whether or not the information is to be believed, I do think the photo of Cressida on the cover is totally gorgeous!

This is the slow time for royal news so the press tends make things up. Cressinda is also going to get compared to Chelsy Davy. Remember in the early days of Kate when the press kept trying to pit her against Jecca Craig.

I can see the media doing their beat to create dissension between Kate and Cressida - middle class girl vs blue blood.

As well as the media trying to force Harry to propose. In their mind, it worked with Charles & Diana. Totally ignoring how media focus & pressure didn't work with William and Kate.

Brunette v. Blonde
Parents long term marriage v. 6(?) times married parents
Conservative dresser v. Boho style
Staid v. Free spirit
Responsible v. Irresponsible
Oh yes, the press will have field day comparing them.
One thing they do have in common is they both favor long straight hair.

It might be best to never mention the four-times married mom of Cressy. Having blue blood can overcome that, is that right? It would be best to just consider Cressy as she is today, and never mention her relatives even though their scandals are interesting. I'm speaking of the RF information specialists, of course. We may assume the taboids will be vicious. Knives will be out. There will be more raw meat for the press than they have received in many years. They will have to be totally ignored.

It cracks me how they will not speak or stand next to one another. Pap proof behavior (well, not pap proof - cause they WERE there - but pretty useless photos).

Yes, in these photos thex don't look like a couple. However, they were together in Malaga. I think they just keep their relationship private. Maybe Harry learned from his experience with Chelsy?

Correct me if I'm wrong but prior to engagement, didn't Will and Kate also do the same thing when they were out and about and going places? I've somehow gotten the impression that this is normal for royal dating.

I believe so.

Even if they didn't in the end, it's not entirely accurate to compare William/Catherine while they were dating, or even Harry/Chelsy, to Harry/Cressida. We forget that W/C were together for 9 years before the engagement, and Harry/Chelsy were together for 6 years. Harry and Cressida are still a relatively new thing in comparison.

I agree. For myself, I can' imagine dating a royal. I think it is a relative strange relationship in the beginning, if you alway have to hide your relationship.

In part this is typical of celebrity relationships as well as royal ones. It makes sense too; when you're in a newer relationship you're still figuring stuff out and don't really want the pressure of the world on you.

That said, I don't think they're hiding the relationship so much as they're not giving the press opportunities to get shots of them "together." If they were hiding it we'd never see them together at all.

The media keeps saying the couple has dated for 18 months, yet ignores the time Harry was in Afghanistan.

I think they are tying to force an engagement. It worked with Charles & Diana.

I really hope that they don't base an engagement on the pressure of the media. In my opinion, 18 month of relationship is nothing. If you really want to get to know a person, it needs more time.

Keeping it secret why?? He is part of the British Royal Family.

Chelsy was so open and relaxed.

This latest one just hides in the bushes! No, the press won’t go away. If you want anonymity then go out with a 9-5 guy. The York girls lead regular lives. Harry at 29, doesn't seem in control of his life at all.

Hopefully, marriage is NOT on the cards. I don't see it standing the test of time at all! She's more schoolgirl than royal bride!
