They’ll take out of context regardless. Have a little fun and just be you when it’s things that just don’t matter.

I don't see this as some big controversy but it did create a bunch of stories and headlines that could have easily been avoided.

It created a bunch of stories not because of what Harry said. That would’ve blown over in one day. It created all kinds of drama because people Meghan hasn’t spoken to needs to give their piece and try to make it seem like they are closer to her than they are in order to make a buck. Her half brother is speaking on his dad’s behalf when we know they’ve been estranged for years.

Did anyone know about a petition that a woman called 'Louise Pawsey' made against Meghan, to she wouldn't be entitled to any title?

That’s been around since they started dating. It’s useless and pointless.

Yep and you should read it. You will have a good chuckle over how she isn't fit to marry Harry and hold a title because "she acts on a tv show." among other things.

Meghan is biracial and is proud of it. How that translates in her indentifying as white is beyond me. She is aware of how people see her and many light skinned people of color know this feeling and it's not always from non blacks either. Meghan knows who she is and expresses it.
In fact some of the harshest things tossed at me came from folks of color...

I'm so very sorry that you had to experience this ACO. I agree that "Meghan knows who she is" and makes her own choices as to who she wishes to include among her circle of friends and loved ones.

Well they wouldn't have had anything to tweet or talk to the media about, if not for Harry's comments. I'm kind of amazed that this is what brought them out again, given recent events. But Harry gave them something to cling to. That's just a fact, regardless of what one thinks of his comments.

They’ll come out any chance they get. If Harry said anything good, they’ll come out too. They’ll come out as long as the tabloids will print it. Watch, from now on, every major event in Meghan and Harry’s life together, they’ll be out and talking. I highly doubt Harry thought oh let’s give them something to talk about. He made a comment, and that’s that. Anything else, he had no control over it. Let’s hold people responsible for their own action. Harry said what he said, and I saw nothing wrong with it. Those two have been selling Meghan out every chance they get, and that’s disgusting and not what family does.

Samantha is furious with her brother Tom at the moment. On her Twitter she accused him of talking rubbish when he said their father would be hurt, she's accused him of selling their father out and in another part of her rant says she believes he lives in fantasy land if he thinks he's going to escort Meghan down the aisle.

I appreciate that. It was a long time ago but just wanted to point out that people need to be mindful of projecting their own views on people because that is how you want to see them.
Meghan has explained her feelings more than once. Just because she grew up a certain way and wears her hair a certain style doesn't mean anything. Don't ignoring her voice because it doesn't match the agenda.

These people have been talking for over a year now, because it gives them attention, which they crave. They don't even know Meghan, haven't known her for years, but they try to insert themselves as Meghan's or her father's spokespersons. They will continue to talk as long as it gives them attention and money. They'll talk if they're invited to the wedding, they'll talk if they're not. It has nothing to do with any action of Harry or Meghan, these people insert themselves into everything just because.

Lesson for Meghan? She said nothing. Harry did. So let's give that lesson to Harry, who has lived this all his life.

Yes, I already read, it's really absurd, a lot of prejudices and nonsense.

Ok. You saw nothing wrong with his comments. I did. And that isn't because of the reaction from Meghan's siblings but because of the way it sounded to me. Of course I don't think Harry thought about giving them something to talk about and I don't hold him responsible for their reactions. I'm just acknowledging that two things are related and all the fuss could have been avoided.

I'd argue that it's useful in that it's pointless. It keeps the people who are determined to be hateful occupied with thinking they've "done something" but is hilariously incapable of effecting any particular outcome.
They go on and on about how if they get 10000 signatures, parliament has to pay attention. But they ignore:
1) that applies to petitions on petition.parliament.uk ("The Petitions Committee reviews all petitions we publish.") - it's on change.org
2) "Only British citizens and UK residents can create or sign a petition." Most of the signatories seem to be from the US.
3) It hits at least 6 items on the "We’ll have to reject your petition if:" list: - It’s nonsense or a joke
- It’s about something the UK Government or House of Commons is not responsible for.
- It’s defamatory or libellous, or contains false statements
- It asks for someone to be given an honour, or have an honour taken away.
- It asks for someone to be given a job, or to lose their job. This includes petitions asking for a vote of no confidence in someone and petitions calling for someone to resign.
- It’s offensive or extreme in its views.
However, it keeps them occupied, so it serves a purpose.

Samantha is currently lecturing a fake Harry account on twitter about charity work. IMHO that already tells you, that she will find something to spout about re Meghan and Harry regardless of what Meghan and Harry do and say. She just wants to get her loud voice out there with her nonsense.

Anyway, it's weird that the two still have yet to meet and all this wedding planning is happening and Harry, a man he's never met is about to marry his baby, his youngest child.

Could you provide a link to where Meghan describes her relationship with her father as very close?
It is a little hard to imagine her using those exact words. Moreover, I would wonder how she would describe the relationship with people in her life that she did make sure to introduce Harry to..

There is not a specific link. You can tell by how she addressed him on Father's Day etc. Just Google some articles.

In fairness, he was being interviewed. IIRC, he tried giving a generic answer and was further pressed. The only reason it’s really an issue is because Meghan’s much older 2 half siblings who she wasn’t raised with and who she is estranged from, can’t shut up. And come across poorly at best every time they open their mouths. Which proves Harry’s point about how different this Christmas was.
Unless we want TRF to refuse to be interviewed, things will get said or misinterpreted.
Honestly, this is not a big deal imo. Harry’s family Christmas is very different than Meghan’s. And a lot of people’s. Unless most people routinely spend Christmas with 4 generations all under the same roof/family estate. Harry almost always has- be it his great grandmother or his brother’s/cousin’s kids. He still spends Christmas with his great aunt’s branch of the family tree. And that doesn’t count the Christmas lunch which is bigger.
It’s also a large family gathering of people who are, if nothing else, definitely not estranged from each other, which in Meghan’s family, is clearly not the case.

Yes, a lot of things could’ve been avoided in life if we just knew the outcome ahead of time. But we don’t. Such as life. It happens.
Like I said, don’t sweat the small stuff. You can’t always win. Might as well be happy in that case.

Yes, I completely agree. I saw nothing wrong with what Harry said, in context it made perfect sense. As alone, out of context sentence anyone can make an issue out of it, but that's the way with anything the royals say. Take one sentence out of a whole paragraph, and you get a completely new meaning to what was said.
These estranged siblings are losing it, Samantha is having some sort of melt down on twitter. None of this has anything to do with Meghan, or Harry, unfortunately Samantha found her own platform, and is using it.
