I am so incredibly happy right now! So glad to see Harry and Meghan so happy and relaxed after a tough start of the week.

Charles escorting Meghan, The Queen dogsitting, The Duke making sure he could make it to the wedding. I'm very happy to see how everyone united to support Harry and Meghan. This is what makes a family, far from perfect but united and supporting each other!

Busy day, baking and prepping for our celebratory Lunch Party, but all set [bar the Salads].

Where-ever you are and however you plan to mark the day, I hope you have a really happy and enjoyable day..

As I trust the Bridal couple, their families and friends will too !

My cousin is taking a gap year in Windsor and he was interviewed by an American news channel about the wedding. Not being particularly interested, though, he plans to move out of the town tomorrow - mostly, because, as he said "the drink will be cheaper" :D

My aunt is hosting a royal wedding brunch/lunch at her house so that's how I'll be spending the day. Taking some time off from my exam studies to enjoy the celebrations! I hope everyone else has fun watching.

Stand By Me by Ben E King will be sung by the gospel choir.

BTW, the source of the information was The Times front page that was tweeted on #tomorrowspapertoday. If the mods think this information should wait, please delete. I figured if they didn't take back the tweet by now, it'd be ok.

It is a nice song, although a little bit sad as it always reminds me of the Rob Reiner movie with the late River Phoenix.

Today is the day! I will patiently sit in front of tv later eating my birthday cake and cheering to both of them

:ermm: not what I would have liked. Seems a little too poppish especially where there are so many wonderful gospel songs to select. But I am sure the choir will do it lovely :flowers:

Funnily enough this decision is setting the record straight gently but firmly. It will not please :

- Those who see Charles as some kind of vilain who doesn't fit in their fairytale perception of Meghan as the Diana 2.0.

- Those who see Meghan as a loose cannon unfit for the BRF.

I like the fact that the BRF is still able to surprise us with some easter eggs like this !

Totally agree. :flowers::flowers:

Wow! What a polished, elegant woman Meghan is. And Doria seems like a lovely, quiet woman who simply wants to support her daughter and make this experience all about her.

I did not think I would get this excited as I am actually not a fan of the concept of Royalty, though I do love the historical aspect of it, but Meghan and Harry have revived my dying interest in the BRF.

Doria has an inner dignity and even charming simplicity about her that is quite enticing. I can see why Senior was so taken with her back in the day.

It is not gospel music really, but I suppose the couple find it meaningful to them. I wonder if it is meant to be Harry addressing Meghan ( my guess), or the other way around, or both.

As I said, the only problem I have with it is that it is a rather sad song to me , not the type of joyful music you would expect from a gospel choir, but the couple obviously don’t see it that way.

But when sung by that magnificent choir, it should be quite an amazing experience. And it seems to be special to them.

Have the music selections been posted somewhere?

Yes, I've listened to different versions of that song, and it definitely is what the singer makes it. With a choir, it'd be amazing.

I agree. But I have to admit, the lyrics are a perfect fit for this couple. :flowers:

Whoa, ladies and gentlemen, I am going to sleep, tomorrow is a big day!

Don't forget to stretch your fingers during your morning workout - you will type a lot!

Prepare your TVs to watch a wedding, prepare your laptops to share your thoughts on the forum, prepare your phones to post your reactions to social media!

And don't forget to prepare some nice food and drinks.

My mom got cupcakes, fruit and other stuff, and we’ve got our alarm set for 6 so we can watch all the pre-wedding footage (but it’s still only 5:25 PM here).

I'm surprised we haven't heard if Harry will wear a wedding ring yet.

I've always liked that song. And if it means something special to the couple, which I'm sure it does, then it will be a very touching moment when sung in that chapel by a professional choir.

OMG, I just got emotional listening to that song and thinking about Harry and Meghan. I LOVE that song! (It's more soul than gospel but I'm sure the choir will put their spin on it). Ok, I think I need to go lie down! This is too much!

So nice to see happy news about the wedding - what a relief after the drama this past week.

It's lovely that Guy the beagle got his own escort.

I loved the interview with the archbishop of Canterbury and the presiding bishop of the Episcopal church (I did not know that they've known each other for a couple of years.) It's wonderful to see how happy Harry looks and he and William interacting with the public. I also loved seeing Meghan and her beautiful mom.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

Okay, but all I see is the front page. What am I missing?

I enjoyed the interview with Archbishop Welby and Bishop Curry, although neither of them really gave away much.

On the other hand, I was a bit surprised that Bishop Curry has never met Harry and Meghan, and clearly Archbishop Welby knows them very well, as you would expect. It just made me wonder a bit about how generic the homily will be tomorrow. I'm sure it will be a great sermon, just not sure how personal it will be.

Read the article. It says Prince Charles helped with the music selection, but not Stand by Me to be sung by the choir.

Windsor was just beautiful today. Seeing Harry, Meghan, William and Doria so happy just added something beyond special to the atmosphere.

There is supposed to be an embargo until midnight on this (just finished listening to Pod Save The Queen)

Do we know the Etta James song and who is singing it - got to be At Last really

I'm only seeing the first page. Oh well, all will be revealed on the morrow.

That sounds too imitative of the first Obama inauguration. Meghan will want nothing to sound remind people of some other event, I have realized. And AFAIK, Beyoncé has not been invited. Who will sing it if it is to be sung? ❓❓

Oh gosh...no. I must be the only person on the planet who does not like that song. I especially don't like the idea of it at St George's....
