While it might not be the most aesthetically pleasing carriage in the Royal Mews, it has already been successfully used for a carriage procession through Windsor. This is the same landau that Edward and Sophie used for their procession through the streets of Windsor in 1999. The larger and grander ones more than likely could not be used through Windsor's narrower streets which will be lined with members of the public.

For those of you who think the Ascot landau is ugly, what is it you don't like? I've always liked this carriage: I'm looking at the curve of the body, the shiny varnish/enamel/lacquer, the color of the trim and the light, summery look of the caning. It seems like the perfect spring or summer carriage to me.

Just looking at the name of the carriage speaks volumes. Its an Ascot landau and built in 1883 and most likely used every year since for the royal family's arrival at Ascot Week. It most likely hasn't been just sitting collecting dust somewhere but actively maintained through the years for peak performance and maybe even comfort. I would also wager a good amount of money or my last soft breadstick that Queen Victoria has ridden in it.
To me, it just seems appropriate to use a carriage very much associated with Windsor and Ascot Week.

Quick reminder that just because its in the news, it is not true:

They said that Miguel was friends with Amal and Amal told Meghan to use this hair dresser. The hairdresser denies even meeting Meghan.

I saw in the thread about Meghan’s family that her brother has written a letter and in it he claims she hasn’t invited her own father. I wonder then if that’s true (big if) who is walking her down the aisle?

The father of the bride does not need a formal invitation to attend his daughter's wedding or walk her down the aisle. I'd bet my last cashew that the Queen didn't receive an invitation either.

Flower Girls: HRH Princess Charlotte of Cambridge, Savannah and Isla Phillips, Mia Tindall,...
Maid of Honour: xxx
Thats my suggestions!

I don't know ..depends on if she goes with kids or adults for her bridal party...
I would hope Charlotte and George are in there and it would be so cute to see Mia, Savannah and Isla in there too.

The same brother that lied about Harry meeting the father, the same brother who is a domestic abuser, the same brother who begged KP to finance his dog business, the same brother who has the Daily Fail on speed dial........

The bridal party info will be released soon. It will end the speculation that Meghan’s father won’t walk her down the aisle. He’ll be there, IMO.

I wonder if any of the children of Sarah Rafferty and/or Jessica Mulroney will be in the bridal party. I would think moreso Jessica than Sarah.

I sincerely think he's going to be there too with bells on and a proud beam on his face as he escorts Meghan down the aisle of St. George's Chapel. There are actually no valid reasons to assume that he won't be there.

I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised at just how reflective of the couple the bridal party is going to be. Both Meghan's and Harry's friends and family will make it up. A perfect reflection of the couple themselves as a couple. I couldn't begin to guess who though.

Is there any possibility she could go with teens like Lady Sarah did in her wedding. Meghan seems like someone who would enjoy doing that.

The question would be how many teens are there that are close to either Harry or Meghan. I don't know the ages of Meghan's friend's kids and the only teenager I can think of offhand that might be applicable is Harry's cousin, Lady Louise.

I would be shocked if at the very least, Ivy Mulroney is not in the wedding. Ivy and Meghan are very close from Meghan's social media. I would also think one of Bettina's daughters, who she calls her fairy goddaughters, are likely.

Enjoy doing that? Not sure what makes it fun As far as I know other then Louise, there aren't any teens in either family that they would be close to. Nor are their friends old enough to have teenagers. Sarah had a 1/2 sister and a cousin who were teenagers (Zara and Frances) who she was very close to. She also had an adult friend who was in the wedding party.
If she doesn't go with kids, I would think adults.

Absolutely agree. We have already seen the wedding showing signs of both sides

BTW, Richard Palmer (or was it Omid Scobie?) did say on twitter that when they had the BP briefing, they did say Meghan's parents will attend. So I don't have any real concern that he won't be there.
I'll find the tweet later when I have time.

I think the only royal kids involved will be george and charlotte. i expect the other little girls to be from meghans side and Harry has godchildren and children of family friends. depending on ages needed...maybe cousin James.
I think the savannah, isla, or mia have a better chance of being in Eugenie's wedding.
I also think one of the reasons that there has been the delay in announcing the bridal party is that many of them are private citizens and not prepared for intrusive behavior from the press. Harry & Meghan would definitely try to protect their friends from the harassment. Perhaps the week before when everyone is in the UK and there is a more protective environment.
