As far as Meghan’s filming schedule goes- I’m pretty sure the Suits producers would be delighted to see one of their stars in the media right now! I predict that she will appear at the Games and that her employers will make it easy for her to do so. Crystal ball growing cloudy now.....

What I realize is that no matter what happens with the Invictus Games and whether or not Meghan is seen with Harry or not seen with Harry, the spooners are going to dish on it however they want to just to stir up rumors and speculations of just why they're writing what they do to fill their copy page.
What we will never know is any of the reasons of why Harry and Meghan decide to play out this weekend. Whether she had to work, whether they were together to placate the media, whether she was absent as to not detract from the athletes or a bazillion other reasons those that write the stories can come up with.
I'm just going to watch the games and enjoy them for what they are.

It does kind of make sense they might wait till the last day for her to go.

Does anyone recall when Kate was given a protection officer? Was it before the engagement announcement?
Rebecca English from the DM stated that Meghan was being protected by one of Harry's protection officers tonight.

I believe it was after? Judging from the photos, they had three security guards along with Harry's RPO. This could just be that this is a big crowd. Her seat is strategically placed so that the security can get to her quickly and she can easily exit.

It's good to see Meghan was at the opening ceremonies but I did not expect them to be together because there is no announcement of an engagement yet. But I think it's a step closer to H & M walking out a room in Buckingham Palace arm in arm with a ring on her left hand.

Thanks for that. I guess it makes sense to give them protection for certain events.

It was during. His RPO stood off to her side during the ceremony and then ushered her out before the event ended.

Most likely because as soon as the ceremony was over, Harry would have been escorted out himself to a waiting car. It makes sense to already have Meghan in the car before Harry gets there.

I think she was answering "after" (the engagement) was when Kate got her full time RPO.

I am not talking about the couple at all or how they would react
I was talking about the media and their attention. And yes, when it comes to royal stalking, some royal reporters turn into teenage fangirls in their obsession with getting the story. That is what we are talking about here, the media and their focus being on her and not the games.
I have no doubt Meghan can handle media attention. She already has.
As for Sophie, even back as a girlfriend, she was a non starter. There was a tiny bit of attention as there had always been rumors about Edward being gay. But never would Sophie draw the kind of press attention at an event that Meghan or any girlfriend of William or Harry would.

Sophie got so much press attention, the press and paps used to leave flowers on the windshield of her car. She had to address the press to leave her alone at her workplace too. It's a long time since that all took place, but the media was hot on her too.
Meghan have her own following and more has been added since she got involved with Harry. She can handle it, no doubt. Also, the royals, Palace and their legal teams have put down some heavy rules for the media to follow these days. Things aren't the same.

I doubt Meghan has her own protection officer as of now . But due to the huge crowds n media presence , the guards helped usher her out before the mayhem started . That is also why she was strategically seated just next to the staircase so that she can leave asap .
There was a video on twitter of a black SUV apparantly with Meghan in it driving away as soon as Harry s speech was done .

It's quite something that the Scotland Yard ushered Meghan in the arena, stayed near her at all times and ushered her out.

Uh huh...that's interesting to me. Of course we don't know what all has gone on behind the scenes that might require that level of protection.

Meghan generally has good taste in clothing from what little I've seen of her clothing...and not surprising somewhat along the lines of what Kate wears...some things a little edgier.
ETA: That silver dress thing at the bottom of the article (link above) is not something I like at all...I hope she avoids that type of thing in the future.
