I had a celebration for Meghan and Harrys wedding with some girlfriends and we had a lot of fun, dressing up and wearing tiaras etc.
The birth of every child is cause for celebration and it is a shame all of us here on the forums can't get together for a celebration. I wonder if my girlfriends can get together with me for a little celebration over this royal birth . It would be fun to celebrate the good news for the couple.

I do have to admit that I feel I share happy times with friends here on TRF when something like a royal wedding or a royal birth happens.
In a world that's filled with atrocities that continue to shock our sensibilities and politics the world over where no one seems to agree on anything and even social media turns out to be very antisocial at times towards people, the birth of a new royal baby is something that is drawing people together in a happy, joyous and positive way. Along with all the other positive aspects of there being a constitutional monarchy, drawing people together to celebrate a birth is reaffirming our hopes and desires that the good in our world continues.
Any time now, Baby Sussex, any time. We're waiting with smiles and bells and whistles for you!

Agreed! The birth of baby is something wonderful to share in a world filled with so much disaster and heartache.

Meghan said that the baby is expected for the end of April/beginning of May.
She surely is not overdue on May 2nd.

^ Yes she is if her twelve week scan happened on or just before the date of Eugenie's wedding.

Based on her announcement, yes she is over due. When she made the May comment she likely took into account babies come late often.
Even if she hit 12 weeks the day of Eugenie wedding and had the scan that morning, she would be over due. And it's not likely she had the scan that morning or was exactly twelve weeks then.

If she had had the 12 week scan by the time of Eugenie's wedding she is now past the 40 week mark so is either overdue, lied about how far along she was in October, has had the baby already and not told anyone or something has gone wrong and they aren't saying anything until they are ready. We simply have to wait and see. I don't see much interest in this baby however e.g. no overseas media in residence in London doing daily reports as we had with all three of Catherine's babies.

Based on some of the enthusiasm on TRF, one would assume this couldn't possibly be the case!

IMHO, Meghan is at least two days overdue.
As for the eventual double happy announcement in 2020 I think Meghan will share the joy rather with Eugenie than Kate (unless little Brooksbank is already on the way, but we still don't know it)

Nobody, neither KP BP CH nor Meghan or Harry talked about any 12th week scan at or around Princess Eugenie's wedding. This is just speculation of RR and gossipers etc. It was only said that they expected a baby in the spring in the official announcement. And later Meghan said late April/early May.
As for the international interest. Dunno maybe they respect their wish of privacy. Anyway, GMA and Today have had teams on sight at Windsor and they have been doing live updates everyday on their shows for now a week

What does it all matter. She'll have the baby when it is ready to arrive. They want to keep it private and not show it off till they have had time to celebrate as a family..

At this point, the best thing to describe the wait is that it is "imminent" as in any time now or then again maybe not. This child is not fitted with a time keeping device and is running purely on BST (Baby Standard Time) and will announce its arrival if and when he/she is good and ready to.
Even Harry and Meghan are in the "hurry up and wait" stage at this point.

The reason why there might be "little interest" is not because there is little interest in the Sussex family (we all know the opposite is true...!), but because by media there is little to expect, except the announcement itself, the baby´s gender and 2 or 3 photos a couple of days later. If M. would have given birth at St. Mary´s, people and press would have been out in force exactly as for the Cambridge babies.
Simply the sheer expectation of a senior royal mother being admitted to hospital at a hidden back door and later the prospect of the new parents coming out of the hospital with the new born stirs up sensation and yes, by that interest! If you can´t expect all of that it is only natural everything is more calm - and I´m sure that is exactly what M. and H. wanted to achieve!

Right now the baby is saying, “I’m coming Mommy and Daddy. I just wanted to bounce around for a bit.”

Babies usually arrive on their own timescale. My daughter's 2nd was due at New Year so we were all enjoying a relaxed Christmas Day when my daughter announced at tea-time that the Christmas cake had spurred on the baby. They went off to hospital & were back again with babe in arms before midnight. She was the best Christmas present I've ever had!
Meghan said the baby was due end of April/beginning of May so there's no evidence it's overdue yet.

A 12 week scan can occur between 11-13 weeks. If Meghan was 12 weeks when they announced on 10/15/2018, she’d be at 40 weeks on 4/29/2019. She’d be at 42 weeks, which is as long as most doctors will let a women go, on 5/13/2019. Meghan said late April/early May, thus I don’t think she is ‘over due’ yet, especially since first babies tend to arrive later rather than sooner, but I do think her official due date is around 4/29, so baby Sussex should hopefully arrive in the next couple of days.

Maybe Meghan had NIPT taken which revealed there are no genetical problems and the pregnancy was announced before the 12th week. NIPT can be taken already on 10th week.

I've re-read the last announcement Harry and Meghan made about the birth several times now and it reads to me that they are going to announce AFTER the birth. I know that doesn't tie in with that supposed leaked info from German sources about the long walk and announcing the begining of labor, but I have put more weight on their actual words than the other.
So, unpopular as it may make them with a few people, I think we will only find out about the birth exactly as they say "once we have had a chance celebrate privately". Announcement only after the baby is born.
