There is no official Town Crier - the man who does it has nothing to do with the BRF.

I'm sure they will do the photo call as is 'traditional' but I am actually hoping they do something different instead. Maybe they will release the first pic on twitter! Wouldn't that set the cat among the pigeons! Lol. They could still do the photo call after to molify the media hounds.

I think that Harry and Meghan know that they have to throw them a bone with a degree of grace whenever required and to be honest I believe that they are withdrawing from even casual interaction with the RR's especially Harry. I think he is mainly driven by his need to protect Meghan who, let's face it, is getting a lot of truly vile media coverage.
We can only hope the media backs off and Harry and Meghan are so blissed out over their child that they willingly smile at everyone.

They can come out of the hospital, grine and bear it for a few minutes and then disappear!

Speaking as a first time mum who is being induced tomorrow I am so glad we won’t have a press appearance to worry about!!
For Harry and Meghan I feel that it will be expected of them. William and Catherine have appeared briefly with all three babies and Harry’s cousins were all presented to the press on leaving hospital. I feel that if they decide not to and sneak out a back door they will be torn apart by the media for it. It would just be simpler to appear briefly on the way to the car. No need to do a dress and heels necessarily, each to their own!

The media interest in the Danish babies are much smaller than that of the British babies and the photocalls have been held inside the hospital under very controlled circumstances so much different from the Lindo wing mayhem.

The Sussexes are always great on walkabouts, smiling and engaging with the crowds. They seem to be calm and taking everything in stride. But then the people in the crowds bear them genuine goodwill and love.
It's just that the extent of the frenzied interest and negativity toward Meghan has not died down, due to no fault of either Meghan or Harry. We should all send the Sussexes our prayers and well wishes.
Happy Sussex baby!

If Meghan will have a c-section I doubt that we will see them in the first three days after the birth.

At the point we are at, I wish they just do private photo and a short video inside the hospital with their families à la christening photos and post them at KP instagram. After all she has been through, she shouldn't reward the UK press and I am polite with the word i am using, with an event at the step of the hospital they will them monetize on the covers of their trashy publications

We will know if the Police put up cattle pens for the waiting media. I am always amazed the the flashes don't harm the babies eyes. I guess they have to take the good with the bad so they'll play the game and then disappear into Windsor.

Has there been any official word that Meghan's mother Doria will be in England when the baby is born?

No. It's highly likely that she might be but unlikely that anything will be announced beforehand. She has a job and a life in LA and flew in and out quite quickly for the wedding and Together launch, the only times IIRC that she's been photographed in the UK, although there are rumours of others. I sure she will be there for the Christening unless earth shaking events prevent her.

Good luck for tomorrow and congratulations!
I agree - now that main public interest has moved more on to Harry and Meghan rather than the Cambridges, I'd think that they would definitely be expected to have an official press appearance with Baby Sussex. Perhaps not for any future siblings depending on their personal preferences but definitely for the first child.

I would not be surprised if they plan like they did in the wedding and limit the media. I hope they just use the American media.

I understand the frustration with some of the UK RRs, but the Sussexes NEED the British press. .
Doing a hospital presentation can really help with that and also help with the IMO mismanaged press relations around the wedding. I understand how seemingly archaic it may seem to make a woman get fussed up after giving birth to do a dog and pony show before the world, but it also helps people make connections to the royal couple/build fondness/and helps them with the press in the long run.
And selfishly, I want to see Harry holding his child. I've been hoping for that for so long!
