Yes technically. But when something is announced to be in spring, it's pretty much given that they are going by the equinox definition.

if she was due April 1st, she would have hit three months at the start of October. She would have been over 3 1/2 months pregnant on tour, which seems reasonable. She would be just over five months now, and popping nicely which she is.

There are reports of royal women wanting to give birth at home but it has always turned out to be not true just one of the usual articles written during that time.

I do think they will likely do a hospital photocall as the press backlash will be much worse if they don't.

Edit: I think they will choose a hospital in Windsor rather than Lindo Wing.

They will likely be making their way to the Lindo Wing too.

If the Sussexes decide to have their baby delivered privately and release pictures later at their in-home setting, that's their prerogative. Although, since Meghan is a modern-day lady, she's likely to go the route of Lindo Wing.

The same story circulated about Kate fir her pregnancies.

Of course new spin this time. Meghan is a hippy liberal and wants to break all rules. And is using the hospital not meeting clean standards to force her hippy ways on the royals. Or that she needs an entire team to clean the hospital to meet her standards as what was good enough for Kate isn't good enough for her. Just a bit of what I have seen.

I am sure Meghan will make the choice that is best for her however, it is worth noting that Diana was the first to have a "Hospital" birth. Her husband and his siblings were all home births.

Not really. By 1982 the Duchess of Gloucester, Anne and Princess Michael had already given birth at a hospital.

Meghan will be an older mum and this will be her first child. She’s going to need proper specialist care during birth so I really doubt a home birth is an option. I wonder if Windsor have specialist private delivery units? I could be wrong but I think Windsor-based Sophie Wessex had her children in London. I also hope there are no outside hospital photocalls afterwards.

Sophie Wessex had both her children at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. So that’s a possibility for the Sussexes.
After all, they saved both Louise and Sophie.

Frimley has an outstanding rating, is only 30 minutes away, has private suites (thought I could not find private maternity suites specifically).

A lot will depend on the Docs she is seeing and where they will go. Or they could do a referral, but if they do that, I rather expect they would be doing that now.

I have trouble believing they will be at Frogmore before the birth, though. There is a lot of work to be done, even if they do it the fastest way possible.

I think KP until the birth and then Frogmore ASAP after work there is complete.

I hope Harry and Meghan continue their below the radar ways in terms of having the baby. And perhaps only release official portraits afterwards. I always found having to do photo call a few hours after giving birth to be an odd thing.

I agree that the hospital choice will be made based upon where they are residing at that time and of course where her ob/gyn has admitting privileges. Both the Lindo Wing and Frimley Park have handled royal births, so IMO they'd be good choices hospitals for the couple.

Harry and Meghan will go the route that they deem is best for them and their child. That's it in a nutshell and thoughts of media, photocalls, announcements or what the PR value would be is not on their radar. Its the Sussexes that are calling the shots with this and that's how it should be.

Meghan is comparable to Anne. Neither are main line but very close. Anne was the daughter of the monarch (giving birth to the monarch's first grandchild), while Meghan is the daughter-in-law of the prince of Wales.

In my experience hardly any American woman gives birth at home, so it's unlikely that Meghan has that preference. Had Harry married a Dutch wife that would be different

Sophie's two children were both born at Frimley Park in Surrey, an NHS hospital. Of course Louise's birth was an emergency and Sophie was rushed there by ambulance, but with James born there as well it's clear the Wassexes have strong links to this hospital.

I'm assuming with James one of the reasons was because they saved Sophie and Louise's life and they knew it was a great team and they hadn't moved so no reason to change hospitals.

Yeah I serious doubt the Cambridges would voluntarily choose to have a photocall frenzy hours after each new addition but it was expected of them. The Sussexes do have more leeway so we'll see. If there is supposed to be an official photocall I do think we'll know beforehand but they might be able to get away with not having one and just releasing the gender and then the name a few days later with snaps in a couple of weeks.

I think a photocall outside the hospital will still be expected of Harry & Meghan as it's a bit of a tradition ie Anne, Diana, Sarah, Sophie & Kate have all done it. Harry is a high profile royal (as confirmed by the Queen's diamond jubilee balcony group) so if they slip away privately, it will be unusual.

I agree. And the photo call will be the least of their problems. Most of us will welcome the photos. Best to focus on that, because one cannot change the trolls.
