No, I was just saying that it’s nice that Harry and Meghan did this during the wedding anniversary year. Very special!
Exactly a week after the Platinum Anniversary of his grandparents!

What a wonderful interview. Both so obviously happy and smiling. Little nuggets about Meghan meeting other members of the family, including Diana's sisters etc, Harry warning her what she was in for, the having to make time for each other in spite of hectic schedules, the fact that Harry is looking forward to Meghan playing an active part in The Firm. Questions about her dogs too, one in the UK, one not apparently. I have such happy feelings about these two!
she at least never walked the red carpet with a cleavage down to her belly or starred in a 2nd class soap....
I don´t know if Meghan is a nice person or not. I do not know her like nobody here does. She´s pretty and has a lovely smile. But is someone like her really the right person to be a royal duchess, daughter in law of a monarch, a represantative for Britain and the Commonwealth...?!
I think this union is once more water on the mills for those you claim the monarchy was just a soap opera!
And who would be the soap startlet? Because Meghan is a Northwestern-educated, UN advocate & actress - know for being one of the main stars on a long-running, succesful US prime time TV show.
For the most known family in the world an escalation would be a big image problem indeed and certainly not "worth it"...!
Camilla comes from a family that always socialised with the aristocracy and people of influence in England. Her first husband was a courtier (and still is) who is a firm friend to the Princess Royal for decades.
Camilla never was just any english lady next door - that´s a myth!
No matter what her role was during the Diana/ Charles marriage, she at least never walked the red carpet with a cleavage down to her belly or starred in a 2nd class soap....

Reminds me the words of Queen Frederika of Greece about Princess Grace of Monaco "how can i trust her ? she's an actress !!!".
Anyway Meghan seems genuine. But i'm in a "love is all around" mood tonight.
This is an...interesting...viewpoint.
So you are saying an aristocrat can do whatever she wants, no matter how sleazy and still be suitable to marry into the BRF because she's from the "right people"?
But a well educated woman (dual college degrees from a prestigious university) who happened to act on a longterm primetime television program, and obviously inspired loyalty from her friends and colleagues (as we heard not a peep from any of them) is unsuitable automatically because she is not from the aristocracy?
Hmmm
Basically that's how aristocracy works...
You have to be in the known. Strangers outside the circle are rarely welcome.
Nothing new here ...
Queen Frederika was quite a character it seems; what was the context of this quote? Luckily for her, her children married royal partners.
The Dutch monarchy survived... and yes, of course there is a short media storm and the queen might be weary to do such a thing after her uncle caused a lot of trouble - BUT she was willing to go that route with her own sister! So, I do think it would have been a possibility had she thought it necessary (although I don't see why given Meghan background (the only real controversial part to me is being divorced but that ship has sailed) what she has permitted over the last 40 years). For the most known family in the world an escalation would be a big image problem indeed and certainly not "worth it"...!
Nobody claimed that Camillas was 'just any English lady next door' That was not the reason why allowing Charles to marry her was a risk for the monarchy and troublesome to many. Camilla is doing really well (a controversial background in one sense or another doesn't preclude doing a bad job as a royal - she has shown to do a great job although the public (except for those who personally met her) seemed to never have warmed to her but mostly accepted her as the woman who makes Charles happy) but it might flare up again when Charles ascends the throne and destabilize the monarchy (I hope it doesn't but it might).Camilla comes from a family that always socialised with the aristocracy and people of influence in England. Her first husband was a courtier (and still is) who is a firm friend to the Princess Royal for decades.

Why not? She seems respectable and able to move around easily in their circles (that helps) and able to connect with those outside of it (also a crucial aspect of the job) - so, of course it will be a steep learning curve (as it so far has been) but that learning curve would exist for anyone marrying Harry. He is the one who knows her best and he is confident that she will do fine.I don´t know if Meghan is a nice person or not. I do not know her like nobody here does. Okay they are adorable together!
Happy to learn one pup is already in the UK, i’m Sure the other will soon follow. Wonder if he’s been staying with Harry this entire time or a good close friend?
My impression is that Meghan is also very in love with the prospect of being a member of the Royal Family.
Just my feeling and opinion.
She said she's also gotten to know his mother's sisters some. I always had a feeling William and Harry see a lot more of all their relatives than we have any idea of.
Meghan and Harry geeking out over the husband title was really cute. My sour soul actually smiled.
What I found that was completely and utterly Harry and Meghan is that the proposal wasn't some big, extravagant thing with a destination. It was over roasting chicken at home doing what they've been doing together all along.
