Location of birth is being kept private.
I can understand keeping the location private if (i) Meghan gave birth at a hospital and (ii) Meghan is still there.

It doesn't make much sense if she had a home birth or if she's already departed the hospital and is resting at home.

Frederik was the same. All light headed and positively giddy. Lovely that he's so blown away by the birth itself.

Umm, no- actually it is great. I speak from experience. Meghan’s labor and delivery sounds similar to my first. My second was even quicker.
Just as long as it is not so quick that the baby is born in the car or hospital parking lot.

This is wonderful. It sounds like things went well, once things actually got going.
I was expecting a girl, so totally wrong on that. He wasn’t very big, for being overdue.

I think what happened is the same thing that happened to so many of my friend’s first overdue babies. The doctor says, we are going to have to induce you and boom they were in labor!

So it appears to me that Harry confirmed in his interview that the baby was overdue.

It seems like this child knows exactly what it wants and wasn't going to let anyone else tell him otherwise. He wasn't going to go by a due date, but when he decided to come, he's quick about it.

Like I said the other day, good luck to Meghan and Harry. They are going to need it.

I'm surprised, I thought the baby would be a girl!
But it doesn't really matter; I'm sure they are thrilled with their tiny earl!
Well, this narrows down the name choices!

'Just a reminder to everyone --- even the Queen delivered all 4 of her children at home. It's not that unusual. Frankly, Meghan is in excellent condition and does yoga every day … she was probably in better shape than most expectant mothers.

I keep a file with the line of succession to each kingdom in Europe, which I update from time to time when there is a royal birth. For the UK, I list only the descendants of sons of King George V though to keep it short. Somehow I was so sure it would be a boy that I had already included Earl of Dumbarton (xxx Mountbatten-Windsor, b. 2019) under Harry’s name on the list. I just have to insert the given name now !

Feel bad if it was a girl? Why on earth why? I thought it would be a girl, simply because I know how much Meghan is a feminist and would make a great mother to a little girl, as her mother was to her. However, that said, I am certainly happy for them having a boy. The main thing is having a healthy child, and that has happened.

And it also appears as if Meghan was able to give birth at home. That's great!

Harry was so happy in giving the announcement himself. He was rubbing his hands together so excitedly. It's lovely for Harry, Meghan and Doria. I'm happy for them, and I wish them well.

No, no, no, I'd be just as happy if it had been a girl. I'd just felt awful for calling her a he for the last few weeks.

Exactly, the posing outside the hospital is in royal terms fairly new. All royal babies were born in the palace, as opposed to a hospital.

So yes they have done things different to the Cambridges but not really new, in fact more traditional. Although I would agree that Harry coming out to announce the birth of his son was a modern touch.
