At the risk of feeling and looking ridiculously stupid, who is she? And like Lumutqueen said are there no longer any royal or aristocratic ladies out there? Is the list really exhausted or are the women just in hiding?

I'm still here! (Waves)
Queen of the Lumuts, I hope that we will still be good friends, especially with my birthday approaching.

I think he should marry Heavenly Hirani Tiger Lily Hutchence-Geldorf (as long as she is over 18 - is she?). I think the name would look quite nice on royal proclamations.

Anyone who has been surnamed Niarchos and Guinness might be guessed to be rich. I suppose that would help. Harry did inherit a little from Diana, does not have to marry money, I assume. The Queen helps those who need it desperately in her family. Niarchos and Guinness sounds bad, although the young lady may be nice. Maybe she could overcome this handicap.

The DM would have a field day recounting all the family marital scandals. They make the Windsors look like paragons of virtue.

Sadly, she's only 16. But in a few years...............

Daphne Guiness is an heiress, artist and socialite famous for her collection of haute couture fashion (it seems, the more avant garde, the better). Her father, Jonanthan Guiness, is the 3rd Baron Moyne and a direct heir in the famous Guiness beer company. Her father's mother, Diana Mitford, was one of the famous Mitford sisters. Her great aunt is the dowager Duchess of Devonshire. She married Spyros Niarchos, who was best man at Princess Caroline and Prince Ernst August's wedding (the two men are good friends). So, Daphne is fairly connected in terms of noble roots. I think it's also safe to say that she is widely regarded as an eccentric.

Clearly, my suggestion that her daughter marry Prince Harry was a little cheeky and an attempt to lighten up the conversation on this thread. However, writing this explanation has reminded me that Daphne's niece, Eugenie Niarchos, is just two years younger than Harry and quite a beauty...

Oh my goodness! Imagine if Harry were to start seeing the great-granddaughter of The Hon. Diana Mitford, Lady Mosley. Pearls would be clutched and smelling salts sniffed.
Daphne's niece, Eugenie, sounds like a better bet. Probably not as many embarrassing photographs in the family album!

Oh YES - Daphne would bring some sparkle back to the royal circus I for one would love her to be mother-in-law, what a wicked thought.
I'm afraid, that, when even William wasn't willing to look for a mate in aristocratic or noble circles, much less Harry will, but he could surprise us :)

Thanks, Shelo, for your description of Daphne
I am great fan of her. Sure her family has many skeletons in the closet and the press would find them all, but who doesn't like to find skeletons in the aristocracy's closets? I do
Plus, Daphne can be pretty excentric (her tribute to McQueen cames to my mind ) but from her interviews she seems to be a wonderful person and I'd rather have a rich excentric aristocrat that has a good heart and good values as a mother-in-law to Harry than a "well-behaved" woman who'd feel very very happy with her daughter's new status.
And I love to follow Daphne's couture collection, so
Ines is lovely from what I can see but a bit young for Harry, I guess...
Daphne's niece, Eugenie, could be a better match but still, the Niarchos' closets are not empty of skeletons plus her brother, Stavros, dated Paris Hilton and one of the Olsen twins (and is now dating model Jessica Hart), and both are very good friends with the Casiraghis, who aren't themselves empty of skeletons. Eugenie's a fashionista and socialite, from what I've read she is very discreet with her personal life and quite shy but you know some of her fashion choices would scary the most conservatives in Britain, I guess.
In any case, both girls would be very entertaining to follow , have pedigree and connections and seem to be aware of the words discretion and loyalty when it comes to their friends, so why not??

You raise a good point about Lady Mosley's descendants. While I doubt Harry has any real limitations on who he can marry (other than the lady's consent), people with who descend from anyone with nefarious political connections are most likely verboten. (Pardon the German....)

The niece does not look to be Harry's type.
