No offense, but what does he offer that is more than other men models other than his title? He does sound very naive. Again, I clearly see a reason why his grandmother took away his title. It was the main selling point for every job he got except MAYBE, the runway work. He want to be internationally known and his was going to sell that title to get there.

:previous: I agree. And maybe setting up "Prince Nikolai" as a brand (which 90-99% of his modeling work included his title) cause an acceleration of certain decisions and actions :whistling:

Brutally speaking and IMO he doesn't have anything tons of other models, who do not have a title, have.
There are lots of beautiful models out there and just as many with a special look or special charisma. Nikolai is handsome young man, but he is far from exceptional.

Being an international model is not that glamorous. It's hard work both during and prior to a shoot. With at times very irregular payment. Not to mention the many long, frustrating hours of waiting in vain.

Nikolai has never had to beg an agency to take him in.
He has never had to take on crappy jobs, because bills have to be paid.
He has never had to work with creepy photographers or other creepy people within the modelling world, because bills must be paid.
He has probably never been cheated or been pressured to go beyond his limits.
Nor has he competed against other hungry models who are ready to chew off their right legs if need be.

- So I can well understand that he reacted publicly when it was announced he would lose his title. His title is/was his ticket to relatively easy modelling jobs, that many of his colleagues can only dream about.

He photographs well, he walks well, he wears clothes well and his looks are very much on trend right now. Especially in East Asia were the European fashion brands has their biggest market. Him being a prince is an added bonus, but would mean nothing if not for his looks. His looks and title together has given him a mid-level modelling career, but he'll most likely never become a household name.

For all that his does “well”, there,s thousands more who could do the same. East Asia have K-pop and Korea entertainment representatives in fashion at the moment.

Maybe he should continue calling himself Prince Nikolai in commercial contexts. You can't exploit a royal title you don't have.

Nikolai wasn't signed because of his title; he was signed because the head of the modeling agency is a friend of Alexandra's. Different foot in the door, but the woman apparently said years ago that she would have wanted to sign both him and Felix whether they had titles or not.

As seen by how Nikolai has been relatively successful with runway work and magazine covers, whereas Felix has had one job thus far, it takes more than your looks or your relatives.

Prince Nikolai and his girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup are living together in their apartment in Copenhagen.

They also lived together more or less officially in his previous apartment and they have been together for years now. Looks like it's getting more serious now.
Well, good for them. Some are fortunate to find the live of their life very early on, I hope that is the case here.
