 What was the dresscode for this event? Everyone seems to wear either short dresses or suits; only Marie wears a long gown.

Cocktail dress code maybe or there was no official dresscode
at all, not sure..

Thanks for the pictures, everyone! I especially enjoyed the Zimbio gallery of Day One - some great shots of Joachim in there!
The costumes for the film look fantastic, and being a fan of Hans Christian Andersen as well as of the Danish Royal Family, I'm hoping that it'll come to German movie theaters next year, or that there will be at least a DVD release!

P. Marie is wearing an ankle length skirt/dress. Perfectly acceptable for an evening event. A more formal outfit would have been reached the floor.

Are you sure about that?
Because Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik made a state visit to Mexico in February 2008 and I doubt there would be another invitation so soon afterwards.
Or did you mean it the other way round? The Mexican President invited to Denmark next year?

Joachim & Marie looked comftable and I thought did well on this visit, the bike tour seemed like so much fun. Marie's fashion choices were her best.

Thanks for the videos, lumutqueen! They are of the kind that always make me feel guilty for watching them! It shows you what it's really like to be part of a royal family: cameras flashing and dozens of people watching your every move! It's like they're being on display in a zoo! That's something that rarely gets transported well by simply looking at pictures. I feel sorry for them!

It's weird because baby Henrik was sick and away from them and they spent a few days of holidays instead of going back to Denmark to reunite with their son...Well, I guess he was feeling better!

they probably had their plans already made before henrik became ill. or maybe he was just simply feeling better...
