Personally, I love Amélie I doubt they would name their baby directly after the Queen or Prince Henrik, as a middle name I can see Margrethe and Henrik/Henri being in there, but as a first name, I doubt it
I love Agathe! I forgot that it was one of Marie's middle names. So beautiful. I also love the name Henri, but I remembered that it is one of Prince Christian's middle names, so perhaps they won't choose it. It would be nice if the baby's full name was both French and Danish. It would be a wonderful tribute to Joachim and Marie, as well as the grandparents.

I think it will be more French than Danish, the name that is...because of Prince Henrik and Princess Marie's French-ness...and lots of French family names in there too...

For a boy, they will use:
Alain (Marie's father)
Henri (Prince Henrik's birth name)
Andre (another of Henrik's given names)
Possible combos:
Maximillian Vilhelm Henri Alain

For a girl they will use:
Francoise (Marie's mother's name)
Renee (Henrik's mother's name)
Possible combos:
Marguerite Dagmar Renee Francoise

I like Prince Maximillian Vilhelm Henri Alain and Princess Marguerite Dagmar Renee Francoise...they are a good mix of French and Danish royal names...I think whatever they choose I will like because I was just waiting for them to have a baby :)

A girl will go with the names "Josephine Francoise Margarethe Ingrid". The first name goes with both languages, French and Danish. The other names to honour the grandmothers, great-gran..

Another guess is Clara Francoise Margarethe Ingrid.

IMO they won't use Dagmar, Ingeborg, Inge, Thyra etc...because they sound old-fashioned (see this Link with popular baby names: http://www.dst.dk/Statistik/Navne/NamesPop.aspx) and there is not such a strong family relation to use them although they are so frumpy.

But anyway, i think it is going to be a boy, because a lot of men who fathered boys in the beginning continued to do so. At least I know a lot of families with a lot of boys trying to get a girl and it never happend.

Boys names a more difficult, as Joachim already has two boys, so 8 names are already used.

My guess: Lucas André Erik Carl or Lucas André Christoffer Carl
Lucas/Lukas/Luca because it is very "in" at the moment in France, frenchspeaking Switzerland and Denmark.

Erik because it's a traditional royal name in denmark. But Christoffer would be also traditional.

Maybe they use Alain to honour Marie's father, but i think they won't.

I could actually see them going with Lucas. It doesn't sound like a particularly "royal" name, and neither do Nikolai and Felix. However, if naming the older boys was Alexandra's doing, perhaps J&M will pick a more traditional name, like Karl/Carl.

And I think that we can rule out Alexandra/Alexandrine for a girl. I know Alexandrine is a family name, but I think it would be really strange to have your daughter named after or close to your ex-wife.

This is a very beautiful name. I hadn't thought of Victoria, but I like the sound of Princess Victoria of Denmark.

I can see there are a lot of French names involved. Not that I don't have anything against French names I just can't see them using one for a first name. Maybe as a middlename, where their parents names are involved.

I saw a couple of you mention Frederik on a first name bassis that wouldn't happen. There's only one Frederik at the time and that's the Crown Prince. Frederik can be one of the last names, think it's Nicolai who's got Frederik as his last name.

Possible names.

Girl
First name could be:
Amalie
Frederikke
Mathilde
Julie
Sofie

The other names.
Margrethe
Franqoise
Renee
Ingrid
Thyra
Dagmar

Boy
First name:
Mikkel
Oliver
Jacob
Daniel
Victor
Christoffer
Sebastian

Middle names:
Henri
André
Valdemar
Holger
Frederik
Christian
Alain
